Fowler 54-100-000-2, Digital Caliper with 0-6"/150mm Measuring Range

Bought this for work, instrument does what it needs to.4" caliper is a very handy size, fits in pocket.

I use this to measure the size of gemstones and chains. It works well. Prior to this I had purchased a less expensive one by a different company. It was very inaccurate. I sent it back and for not too much more money got this one by Fowler and I love it! I do wish, however, that it turned itself off after being inactive for a period of time.

Feel light and cheap in the hand, normally I think Fowler has better products than some mitutoyo products. The caliper look good, but came with grit packed in them.. but the worst part is the jaws are not perfectly ground. About .0015 from the back to the tip of the jaws, you can see light through them when fully closed. For 140$, it better be close to perfect.. as the same name brand size is 180$.

Owned it for about a year now, went through 5 or 6 batteries using it about twice a month. Battery connectors are of poor quality and they never worked right. I had to push on the battery door for the caliper to even turn on, just to loose connection and measurements. I just threw it in the trash. Buying something at a higher price point.

Im a steel worker I use this product everyday The battery cover will not stay on had to tape it and it does not slide very smooth

Very smooth and accurate measuring instrument. Fowler seems to be a great quality tool.

It was small and suits my requirement. Only con the box is bigger for this small vernier occupies more space in my pelican tool box

Great product. The battery compartment is a little challenging else excellent.
