Great lower back support
I've had on and off lower back pain for decades but recently had a large operation which has caused real bad lower back pain.I brought this belt after seeing lots of good reviews and was surprised at how low the price is compared to other supports I've seen.I'm VERY happy with this belt. Its made from good, strong feeling materials and the stated size was spot on. It has 8 hard slats that cover the lower back to limit movement in the right way and the material is very breathable so I get less sweaty than with other supports I've used.I started to get pain relief results straight away amd after a few days of using it, my back has improved massively.Would definitely recommend this support. The price and quality makes it a no brainer. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

A good lumbar support band, that works well.
First off, this does work. It's not a super strong support for heavy lifting, but as an aid for adding a little extra support to the lower back it works well.It consists of 2 bands. The first is the main elastic support band. This is 12.5cm wide at the front and expands out to 21cm wide at the back. The wider back part has 9 vertical reasonably stiff ribs, to help support your spine. This band secures at the front with velcro. With the 'loop' part being 25cm in length, it gives you a lot of room for tightening or loosening as required. There is then a second band which goes around your waist. This is of a much more stretchy elastic material and you can have this as tight as you feel is necessary for support. It works well in use. I've recently been diagnosed with arthritis of the spine and this has helped to give me a little more confidence when out, that my back will not 'slip'.The only negative that I can add is that, after a while the outer, tightening band has started to curl over and when it's tight this can 'cut in' a little. A swift readjustment can alleviate this.Overall, I'm pleased I bought it and when it does eventually fail, I will buy another.I hope you found this review helpful.

S/m is medium, not small.
Does the job to a degree, not a great fit, size misleading. There is nothing small about the S/M size. It's medium.

Good product
Test ran it on a couple of hours allotment digging. Comfortable and effective. Note their sizing is accurate, expecting the usual sizing roulette I ordered next size up and could do with it being a little tighter, but no big issue. The inner belt tends to ride up, probably because it's a bit too big for me, but should be easily fixable with a bit of velcro. Pulls back in place easily enough anyway. Arrived promptly. Pleased with this.

Exactly what I was looking for
I needed a support belt to straighten up my back because of severe pain. It also helped me with the pain and is really comfortable. The material seems to be of good quality. One stare deducted from the overall review after rejecting my first 5 star review.

Can’t fault it for the price.
I’m an ambulant wheelchair user, and strained my back very painfully doing a chair transfer at a hospital outpatient clinic. Bought this belt because the resultant back pain made my life very difficult for a week or so. The belt provided enough support and immobilisation to sort out the worst of the pain after 2 days’ wear. I now intend to wear it if ever I feel I am in a position where I might injure myself again, or on long car journeys which often play my back up, in the hope that it might prevent an injury occurring. It’s not the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn, because the elastic is fairly fierce, but it didn’t slip, and the riptape fastenings are surprisingly secure, but you get pretty strong support from the belt, and a moderate level of constriction, depending on how tight you choose to wear it. I cannot comment on the use of this belt for people who routinely need extra support for heavy lifting as part of their job or recreation, but I would say it’s a help for intermittent/moderate back strain sufferers.Compared with other belts on the market, it is definitely good value for money.
