AC Low Pressure Switch
Swapped out my low pressure switch to ensure my ac was working like it's supposed to. This part has some very soft plastic. It does not come with an oring but the original oring worked just fine. Don't over tighten or it will not seal exactly on the o-ring. I noticed this mistake when I heard the hissing and it would stop when I adjusted the tightness back a full turn. Got the part tightened properly and it was actually in the same spot as the original. No hissing no leaks coming out, which would've been noticeable with all the green dye in it. So far the part appears to be working just fine.

This was so easy to change. The place you are removing it has a valve like a tire so you can change this with the system pressured. A tiny release will be heard. Make sure you install a new O ring with a little oil so it will not move. Be careful not to over tighten because this is made out of aluminum.

installed on a 2004 5.3L GMC sierra 4x4, so far its working good, AC cycles like it should but if it fails you can always use a wire to jump it and make it run all the time, but only on hot days cause it will freeze over it the temps are not above 105F

My truck A/C works reliably now
Installed this low pressure switch on my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD -- very easy job, a few minutes with a wrench. The A/C on this truck would occasionally not turn on, and other times would work perfectly. I had checked the A/C charge with proper gauges, and it was reading in the appropriate ranges. After replacing this switch, the A/C now turns on every time, no problem. Cheap and easy fix.

So I paid almost two hundred for a stupid gasket
