This came packaged well and with two spade connectors to use on the connections, which did actually come in useful. Replacement of a cigarette lighter mechanism is not hard and this product fitted perfectly in the slot left after removing the old unit. It's strong and well made.The nut that secures it and screws in from the back was a little stiff on both the ones I purchased, but not too bad and once tightened left the unit feeling very secure indeed.Connecting the power is simple and the spade connections provided are easy to use if you have a crimping tool (I got mine from a Pound Shop).One word of warning; when powered up the unit glows red. This is fine. However, if your lighter socket is permanently live, then this will be lit ALL the time. It's worth checking this because whilst the light won't be taking much power, it will be a drain on the battery...Also the rubber cap that fits over the USB sockets is only useful if you have an exposed lighter socket. It needs to be removed if your socket is hidden behind, for example, an ashtray panel. Otherwise it just gets in the way. I had to take mine apart again and remove the cap, which is only a few minutes work but would have been avoided with a quick test before it was all secured.The USB slots themselves work as they should. Connections and firm and two connectors fit together in the slots at the same time without getting in each other's way.Overall a good product. I fitted two in my car (see pics).

Bought this to add charging ports in the back of our Ford S-Max, so needed something small enough to fit in the existing Ash tray because that's where I wanted to fit it.Just drilled a 32mm hole and it slipped in perfectly to the plate I'd made.I just added it to the circuit for the front power port because it has ample current capacity to cover chargers in there too.For those looking to replace an existing 12v socket (cigar lighter) this will fit straight in the standard size hole used by most car manufacturers, so it should (in theory at least) be a direct swap out.Very pleased with the fit and finish.I opted not to use the watertight seal, which slides on over the rear threaded section, so is easy to fit or remove as needed.It's all held in be a thumb nut that screws up the threaded section.An absolute doddle to fit.

Very low profile and blends in great. Not a fan of the light on it but it's in the glovebox so doesn't matter. Just something to consider if putting it somewhere visible. It comes with a rubber cap and that solves the light problem but doesn't look very nice so ended up not using it.

Failed the second time it was used. Asked Electrician friend to check it out. He called it an "immature failure". i.e electronic part was duff. Will try to order another from a different supplier once this one is refunded.

Worried it could flatten battery if the vehicle is stationary for more than a few days as its always working / lit up... But so far, seems to charge items quickly and hasn't caused any issues.

Seems okay but the circular front detached before I got to install it. Had to super glue it back. Otherwise it worked OK.

Didn't work at all. Fitted it and took an hour. Total waste of time and effort. DON'T BUY THIS ITEM.

I could not fit my 3pin plug in so could not have my toast. Think it might of bean one of the Spanish or somthing
