This pen really does it all—bright flashlight, glass breaker, screwdriver, bottle opener, and it actually writes well. Comes with spare ink and batteries, which is awesome. Feels heavy-duty and solid in hand. A cool tool for EDC or a thoughtful gift for anyone into gear.

Pen is easy to grip and writes easily with good ink line. Light is bright enough . .. and strobe feature is nice. Some reviewers have said that light is not bright and that strobe would be useless, but I have tried it, and you don't want that strobe flashing in your eyes. If confronted by someone at night, the strobe would definitely make the bad guy turn away for a split second, enough time to allow you to engage in fight or flight. The "tactical" end of the pen making contact on the right surface of the bad guy after a hard strike, if that is your only option, would definitely have the same result of giving you that 1-2 seconds which might be enough to gain tactical advantage. The screwdriver/bottle opener/saw looks too flimsy to use but is better than nothing and a nice added feature AND they give you 4 extra pen refills and a battery replacement. All at a good price. So, yes, it is value for money.

Good quality for the price. The pen is extremely versatile and made to be very durable. I do not find the pen to be too heavy, the weight is good. The only drawback is that in order to make the pen safe to carry in your bag, purse or pocket is that you need to remove the screwdriver and then flip the defense tip inside the barrel. So, if you need to use it in an emergency, you’ll need to unscrew the defense tip and flip it back out. It seems like there should be a simple cap or cover for the tip so it doesn’t injure you. Also, the ballpoint pen writes very nice but it does not attach while using the ink pen.Overall, it’s nice, affordable and you can make do with it, but it would be nice if there was a cap to cover the defense tip and the ink pen could simply screw on to the top while writing.Update: I found an eraser cap to temporarily cover the defense tip while in my bag.

Lots of tools that fit in your pocket… great gift for a guy that is hard to buy for. About the size of a pen so it can be carried in a pocket or in a purse just to have if needed

Edit:Review, five years on.I've just taken The Most Loaded 6-in-1 Tactical Pen out of my EDC kit.Forever.I tried to make it work, but it is what it is: a poorly designed, marginally useful, oversized, overweight pen.* * *Let me make it clear that I chose this product because it was one of the cheapest of its kind on Amazon, and because of all the glowing five star reviews. Here's what I found.When I first unscrewed my "tactical" pen, a couple of pieces of O ring fell out.My examination of the tools revealed a better-than-nothing screwdriver, a mysterious serrated edge, a neigh-unto-useless hex wrench, and a sketchy bottle opener (because a bottle opener is a must-have feature on every "survival" and "tactical" multi-tool on the market today).I was most interested in the flashlight as a back up to my EDC. It's bright enough to help you see your way down a dark path or find a keyhole. However, the on/off switch is easily triggered. I thought I'd reposition the pen's pocket clip directly beneath the switch to help prevent accidental activation (as it is in a product photo) but the clip is apparently brazed to the pen because I can't make it budge. I ended up putting an O ring near the switch to help ward off bumps that might run down the batteries.The pen portion of the The Most Loaded 6-in-1 Tactical Pen isn't so hot either. Like other reviewers, I found it annoying that I couldn't screw the pen cap to the top of the pen while writing. Though the manufacturer calls this a feature, I call it a nuisance. I was also bothered by the constant wobble of the pen tip whenever I was writing. Also, the pen part is smooth which makes it hard to hold onto.And finally we come to the "tactical" portion of the pen. I haven't tried to break a window with the tip, but the tip and shaft seem sturdy enough for that. I take issue with the notion that this thing is "tactical", however. Just because a thing is pointy doesn't make it "tactical".Having said all this, I don't hate my purchase. I even suspect that it's probably one of the best products of its kind on Amazon.But a five star product, it ain't.

This was a fantastic buy! And yes, they did solve many of the problems of other tactical pens I’ve bought. They engineered these well. Also, I found the light to be reasonably bright enough, especially for the price, and since being a flashlight is not this tactical pen’s primary purpose. I mean, c’mon! These will make great gifts.
