Better than Netter
Highly recommended!!! Better than Netter for lab dissection. The cadavers photographs of anatomical structures really helps you learn the structure's location on a cadaver. In terms of learning anatomical structure, this is the 2nd best resource (nothing bets learning anatomy from a cadaver). Prefect resource when you can't or too lazy to go to Cadaver lab. The photographs instead of drawings, helps you get a better visualization of structures, and really helps for lab test. Each page of the atlas contains many labels and structures, so you don't have to flip through page by page looking for a structure. Saves a lot of time!!! Very detailed photographs, photographs are the "cream of the crop" cadavers, illustrating the anatomical structure for easy visualization. So far I didn't find any mistake or misspelling of any anatomical structures, however some names do vary from other atlas/text.Con: There absolutely no text or material content in this atlas, this is basically a true atlas listing out all the anatomical structures. No study guides or end of the chapter quiz (However comes with an online code that does come with online quizzes).

Great Review and Practice for Anatomy
Amazing photos with arrows and legends identifying anatomical structures. The cadaver photos are IDEAL for studying and practice. The authors utilize many different cadavers to give examples or structures in different body types. They utilize special dyes and colors that help to emphasize certain structures for clarification. A great resource for studying anatomy and I prefer it to Netters.

By far the best anatomy atlas for medical school
By far the best anatomy atlas for medical school, especially if you have lab practicals with the cadavers. Cadaver anatomy looks very different from the drawings, and a photographic atlas is a step in the right direction. Keep in mind though, it won't substitute for the hours you put into studying the cadavers in person - no dissection or prosection you see in real life will ever be as clean and neat as Rohen's photos.

I can definitely say this book has been a lifesaver! The photographs are incredibly detailed and it's super helpful since tests/practicals are based on real bones and cadavers not diagrams. Most other atlases are great but it's much easier to visualize the info with these photographs. It's pretty expensive to buy this textbook, so I just rented it from Amazon, which is a great deal for a student budget.

Do not use for classes strict about Terminologica Atomica
This is actually the Atlas my universtity book store listed as the one to get. I also think it is a good mental prep prior to working with your first real human cadavers. The photographs and dissections are exceptional which is why it gets 4 stars from me, however, you will spend so much time relabelling if your class requires globally correct terms so, as far as using it as an actual Atlas, it has been almost useless for that purpose. If you use it to self label images, however, it can be a useful study guide just make sure that you also purchase tabs to easily jump to the pages you relabeled for study. Honestly, I tried studying this way and you are better off using your time to make flashcards.

Best textbook for gross anatomy
If you want to study anatomy in the "real" sense (not just off of the elegant but cartoonish images in Netter's), than go for this book. You will not be disappointed.

Good Dissections
Love it. great for studying for med school anatomy tests which take place on a cadaver. some people get Netters or Thieme, and always have a hard time making the jump between cartoon and reality. Lots of really impressive dissections! Cartoons included when needed, and imaging with labeled structures when relevant.

Great book, but binding sucks !
The book itself is fantastic, the photos are phenomenal and show real good examples of human anatomy. But the pages in this book literally slide out, there is no good binding hold them in! Every time I open the book to a chapter a chunk of 20-50 pages literally slide out !

The book falls apart making study unnecessarily more challenging
If I could give it half a star I would. The book fell apart within the first few hours of using it. Initially its bearable until the entire book becomes a loose set of 500 sheets of paper that makes studying anatomy even more challenging.Poor design and Amazon and the publisher have done very little to rectify the issues despite similar past comments.
