Top Muscle: The Rarest Cars from America's Fastest Decade

This was purchased for a friend so I can not comment except to say that he was pleased with it.

Of all the "coffee table car books" out there, this one is the best I've ever seen. Photos and text are very good. I thought I know everything about these rare cars, but I was surprised and pleased to have learned something new.

It was purchased as a gift for someone who has that interest. The reaction from the recipient was good...and in any event it would make an interesting coffee table book. Quality was good.

I expected more from this book. The photography is stunning, boarderline breathtaking at times, but the storys regarding the cars are a little thin in my opinion... It's more a portfolio of car-photography rather than an automotive "book". The rothers Collection is so significant, they could have mentioned it more, and also how the cars were found, restored or preserved with a bit more detalied descriptions.

This book was clearly written by someone who really knows American muscle cars. The author picked the best and wrote about them with authority. It is to have a book so well researched and well written. And, the photographs are really great.

Absolutely stunning photos make this book far more than just another muscle car photo op. Never have I seen these machines presented so artfully. The photographs are sensuous and sexy. The vehicles selected for inclusion are unique. Holmstrom knows the gems that often are overlooked. The narrative is crisp and concise. Highly recommend.
