I shop at JCrew pretty frequently, and about 2 years ago I bought a very similar bad to this one there. I used it frequently, but not exactly roughly, and it ended up falling apart. To clarify, we're talking about JCrew, not JCrew Factory (which is the outlet version.) I immediately went in search of a replacement, and I found this bag, which is similar looking, and a lot less expensive. It's Amazon, so I figured why not give it a shot. I also bought a bag from Eddie Bauer, and Lands End to compare (both were a bit more expensive than this.First off, I was extremely surprised when I handled this bag. I really was expecting that this was the one I'd be sending back, but out of the three new bags, this was the one I kept. It feels better than my old JCrew bag too. Makes me wish I'd found this thing two years ago. Even if this thing breaks down in 2 or 3 years, I can just go rebuy it 4 or 5 times and still spend less than I would at JCrew. Having said that, with the way this bag feels, I'm betting it'll last at least 4 or 5 years with heavy use.One thing I was looking for when this arrived was sloppy finishing, loose threads, super thin, low quality leather, and so on. Instead what I found was a well finished bag with no loose threads, a solid zipper, pretty good leather, and solid feeling canvas.I'll update this as I use the bag so people can see how it ages.

The media could not be loaded.  At the price, it's a decent bag for my upcoming travelling needs, to replace a ~10 year-old travelling bag of similar style for the anticipated summer! The bag looks quite tidy, though I'm impressed with the inner space and how it seems to expands and holds up so much potential things (usually some clothes, jackets and my 13 inch chromebook). The zipper is butter smooth (look how I just used one hand to unzip it in my video) and the zipper's build is sturdy, because zippers are major faulty construction areas of bags and luggage usually. Inside there are two pockets for, presumably phones and wallet, and another zippered compartment for the traveling documents you might have, such as passports, visas, and wallets. I just sort of wish that this zippered compartment has a built-in lock or security for extra peace of mind, but for the price, I can't personally complain and the security issue can be remedied quite easily and inexpensively. At the bottom, there are 4 spikes underneath a more rugged leather to add some protection against the ground, which is nice to have, but you shouldn't be dragging this bag on concrete anyway. Overall, I like what I have gotten so far (very fast shipping as usual thanks to Prime), but I'll keep it updated once the bag has stood the test of oversea traveling abuse this summer.

Surprisingly good! Yes, it’s fake leather, but it works great for what I bought it for: as a personal item when traveling by plane. I also have a 90 pound blonde shedding-machine dog and was concerned that he would leave his mark (hair) all over the black bag, but it wasn’t bad at all! It held up well and it’s HUGE as compared to a purse. I put my purse organizer inside and it was waaaay too small, but more room is better than less, right? I could fit everything I needed and more on my trip, plus it was so convenient to put over the handle of my suitcase. Not sure how well it would hold up to regular use, but I suspect just fine for a while. I very much recommend it.

I had saved this to my Wish List in the olive green color, but then THIS one showed up in a flash sale notice, so i bit the hook. I was concerned about the large size of it--I want to use it as my daily bag. There is a way to hook the bottom clips to the upper one, which makes the bag seem more pocket-book-like. So far it is great. It is not rainproof--there are water-proofing sprays one can you, but for now, I am keeping a couple zip lock bags for when I am concerned about my electronics getting wet.I think, come warm weather again, I may just get this in the olive drab or a print, for fashion considerations. I am a plain dresser, and sometimes a pattern is desired!And yes, your thermos or water bottle and even light shopping will ALL fit!

Perfect size for a carry on. Slips on suitcase easily which helps a lot!!

I bought this bag for my mom and she really likes it. She does a lot of traveling for work and she needed a small bag that could carry a lot of her smaller items that weren’t in her suitcase. This bag really fits the bill. Build quality is great and it’s a bit bigger than I was actually expecting. Also, it’s made without animal products, which I know a lot of people might not care about, but that’s a huge bonus for me. Overall, I’m genuinely happy with my purchase and definitely would recommend.

Fits my laptop perfectly!! Like the feel of the fabric and how lightweight this travel bag will be. Exactly what I needed!
