A must have for those who use bars of soap!
This product is absolutely fantastic because it protects expensive soap (or any soap for that matter) from getting mushy from sitting in water in a soap dish (which can be quite wasteful). I came across this product for the first time in a boutique shop while on vacation this summer and wanted more for my home after seeing how great the product is! I am so glad to have found it on Amazon using the camera barcode product search locater off of the one I purchased in store. I have one in my shower tray and in all three bathroom soap dishes now. They protect my expensive soap bars which I used because I wash my hands so often throughout the day, these soaps are less drying than liquid or foam soap. I love the range of colors, I prefer the color "bone" because it is a neutral color for any room. It blends with my beautiful soap dishes and rinses out very easily under water very easily when needed. I also like that I can sit my bar of soap vertically or horizontally to allow for faster drying, which keeps the soap lasting longer. A big thank you to Aira for such timely delivery and careful packaging.

Crystal version/color absorbs water?
I liked that this product is made in the US without harmful chemicals, and bought a 2 pack of the "Crystal" version/color. Been using them for a few weeks. The color was not quite as pictured; there is a bluish tint to it. But the real problem is that the one that's used more and gets wet became opaque after about 2 days. The soap stayed damp on the bottom, and got mushy. After rinsing the soap saver and moving it to a dry place for a few days, it starts to become clear again. I've done this twice now with the same results. (The other soap saver is in a dryer spot and is still "crystal"-y. Hopefully you can see that from the photo.) It does still keep the soap in one spot, and collects all the 'soap goo' (there is quite a lot of goo on the Aira despite regular rinsing, as the Aira and the soap both seem to stay damp) so it doesn't end up on the sink, but I'm not sure if it's really helping the soap to last much longer. Does the soap need to be almost dry before you can put it back on top? Maybe this is a problem with only the "Crystal" ones? Might try cutting off a piece of the clear one and soaking it to see if it goes opaque...

Discolored and moldy!
Works okay at keeping soap out of water but eventually gets clogged with soap scum and needs to be cleaned often which is a little difficult because of all the crevices. Like others have said, the clear becomes opaque and dull where the soap rests. That wasn’t so bad, but eventually the rest of it became rusty colored from (I’m assuming) the minerals in my water and, worst of all, started to collect mold! Soaking it in bleach didn’t help much so in the trash it had to go.

Love it
I love it! I don't think that the price is bad. I love the fact that it is BPA Free. I have a shower stall so there is no way to keep soap away from being exposed to water. I had purchased some nice homemade soap recently and was afraid to put it in the shower. In the past I have tried plastic soap containers, it just turned my soap to a slimy mess. Not with this lovely find, my soap has stayed in good shape. I recommend this product.

The perfect gift!
I bought one of these several years ago and paid more than twice what I paid here but I love it. I've now put these in all of our bathrooms because it's so practical. This is the perfect gift when combined with soap and/or candle, or by itself for those annoying secret Santa gifts. It's very functional, durable, easy to clean, inexpensive and not an eyesore! The couple that cleans our house wishes all their clients had one of these. It's super easy to rinse out and the soap dish in our shower remains clean. Put it in a basket with other products and it's a great shower or housewarming gift. Even that "hard to buy gifts for" person, male or female will like this. I don't always write reviews but when I buy something that exceeds my expectations, I'll leave a review. I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't like old soap slime or is always looking for practical gifts. You won't be disappointed. To be clear, I didn't receive any discount for writing this review. I just really like the product.

Nifty Idea
This is the second whimsical animal soap saver I've purchased from this seller. It allows moisture to drain from whatever you put on top of it and allows air to circulate. My soap saver sits in water for days at a time until I lift it to wipe away the water with no mildew or other issues. I gave it 3 stars for sturdiness and durability because I noticed a few wires that were loose on the head of the turtle and don't know if they will unravel or cause durability issues.I would like to purchase the grey whale-shaped soap saver, and hope that the manufacturer will get around to producing them soon.UPDATE: Unfortunately, my turtle soap saver became full of black mold that was impossible to clean, so I had to toss it out. The moral of this story is ensure that your soap saver is not constantly sitting in water, is in a position that air can circulate all around it.

A tiny turtle for tiny soap all the hope but only a joke
What a disappointment and waste of money. I was initially so excited over this and when it arrived WOW how pathetic. This is not even large enough for a standard size bar of soap. It literally is so small it actually could only be used for those tiny hotel soaps that no one uses 🙄. The pictures are deceiving and measurements (as proven in photos) are a lie. I’m not even going to return it because it’s too much of any inconvenience and aggravation. I am not even sure how these got such high reviews. I appreciate the concept nonetheless this item can’t do the job if it can’t hold an entire bar of normal soap. That being said, my loss and the company’s gain. Nope, Nope, Nope do not recommend.

Works! No more soggy soap
I have used this handy little holder under my soap for a while now and I am amazed at the difference it has made. Usually, the last 1/4 of my soap bar is a soggy, slimy mess with bits falling off and blocking the plug hole. I favour glycerine, and added moisturiser soaps which, in my experience, can get soggy pretty quick. The holder fits in my soap dish and let's the soap dry fast and lifted out of any water. My soap dish was already self draining but the addition of this mat has made my soap last so much longer. This will definitely save on soap and I think it's more hygienic too. It is easy to rinse out daily, and I soak it in warm water to remove all residue, and allow to dry before putting on a new soap. I ordered a light blue but received a dark grey. I was so delighted with its performance, I didn't mind.

No more soggy soap
A worthwhile purchase . Like a lot of people am trying to use less plastic so trying to use more soap in place of shower gel and liquid hand wash . Definitely keeps soap dry so you don’t end up with a soggy mess. As the soap last longer it’s probably worth buying better quality soap as well

The world's best soap dish!
Having recently switched back to soap bars in a bid to reduce my household waste, I was looking for a soap dish to stop my sink (and the soap!) getting slimy. This has been perfect! I've been using it for a few months now and it's really easy to keep clean and stops my soap turning to mush! Highly recommend!

Does leave soap dry
Love the fact that it comes in different colours and is genuinely eco friendly. Sizing should come with choices as I use two different bars of soap. Definitely well recommended.
