Great, Bluetooth receiver set!
I was never a big fan of Pyle equipment, but this receiver set does work well! This was put in with a clubhouse paging system installation where they wanted to be able to play iphone background, music for golf outings, barroom background music, and themed events. Being able to mount the remote power supply & power supply interface near the head-end equipment is a plus. Along with the fact that standard cat6 cabling can be used between the two makes this a nearly ideal set up so the Bluetooth receiver can be mounted in a standard wall plate near point of use without having to find a local source of power (receiver is powered through cat6 cable). Bluetooth links up quickly on both android and iOS systems and the audio sounds great. I was quite surprised! In the future I will be installing more of these as the price point is quite a bit better than some of the other Bluetooth receiver units on the market.

Very clear sound
This unit works great. Very clear sound with no noticeable background static - even if music playing is stopped. Installation Comments -(Only reason for 4 stars) The faceplate hole is too small for standard US screws. Since these screws need to thread into the center holes of the unit, this is a really annoying problem. The screws also show on the exterior of the face plate so you need standard faceplate screws. I tapped with a #6 quickly, but not everyone has the right tools. -The piece with the blue tooth, volume control, and USB chargers goes where you want to use blue tooth with your device. The piece with the power and sound ports go into your receiver or amplifier input, which is usually out of site somewhere. -You need a physical cable connected between the two pieces. If you don't have one or cannot easily run one, this isn't the right product for you. I used a standard ethernet Cat 5e, which works well due to the twisted pairs to reduce noise. Connection Comments -Connecting is easy. Just turn on using the sound knob. It will give you two minutes for your device to locate it and pair with blue tooth. If you don't get it setup in this time (generally more than enough), just turn the sound to off and repeat the process. -You may have multiple people or devices in your home connecting over blue tooth over time. I've noticed that our phones automatically pair when in range. Therefore, if two people have phones within range, it's best that one person turns off their blue tooth so the 2nd device can connect unobstructed. -Others have correctly highlighted that the blue tooth name is the same for all units and cannot be changed. Normally smart devices let you add a custom name for blue tooth connections so it's not such a problem (this name is only on the smart device - the Pyle unit's name is the same). Also, it's probably a good practice to not install multiple units within range of each other unless you have an application where this would make sense. Volume Control One thing that seems to confuse is the fact you have two volume controls. One on your device and one on the receiver of this product. They both work independently. For example, if your phone is on low volume, you may not hear well even when the receiver is turned up all the way. However, if your phone volume is turned up all the way, you may hear well on low or medium sound when set from the receiver. Even though your phone doesn't physically make sound when connected, the volume setting does control the amplitude of the signal to the receiver.

Flawless performance!
Excellent product! This bad boy installed easily and works flawlessly. My application was to use it on my covered patio to be able to listen to music when I am grilling and entertaining. Pairing is super easy and the problem of the screw holes being some odd size that I read about in several reviews has been addressed and is no longer an issue. The charging feature is a definite plus too. Don't hesitate to buy this product.

excellent bluetooth wireless sound and easy to install
this is one great product, easy to set up, and in function. I was looking for a product to provide music through pandora from the ipad throughout the house and this product exceeded that expectation! the usb charger ports are a very nice bonus. I mounted the receiver into the kitchen island (which also gives nice access to the basement for wiring to the base station. The fact that the power is provided through the base towards the receiver is another great design decision of this product. It shuts itself off if there has been no linking for some time which I like too very much. My only "criticism" would be that the receiver is rather thick on the metal mounting plate which doesnt allow for easy snug installation with a outlet cover, nor was the mounting screw for that prepared. The other thing is the circuit board is rather larger (same width as metal penal) and the connection screws for the power/sound cable dont allow for an easy connection there, so I recommend to take for sure a plastic outlet box when mounting and a bit wider and deeper as possible for easier installation.

Danger -- Fire Hazard!
Bottom line: This in-wall unit is a fire hazard. I've had this in-wall unit installed for about 18 months (details below). This morning, I heard two loud pops coming from the room in which we put it. I saw smoke coming from behind the two-gang faceplate -- the room smelled like burning electronics -- and immediately removed the plate and the unit. I found that two of the capacitors had blown off the back, and the unit had mostly fried. No changes had been made to the system in 18 months, nor had we used it differently. It just catastrophically failed for seemingly no good reason out of nowhere. Before this issue, it operated fine. The range was somewhat limited and would sometimes buzz if we plugged something (like a phone to charge) into the USB ports. We mostly skipped using it, opting to use our Google Chromecast Audio to sync music, which we much prefer. I'll update everyone on my experience with customer service. UPDATE: Reached out to customer service by email with no response. I tried the Facebook route, which did get a response. After sending pictures and proof of purchase, we had the following interaction: CSR: "Hi, I apologize but our warranty is only good for a year. You may call our technical support for immediate assistance, you can contact us at 718-535-1800 and press 2 for technical support." Me: "So the fact that the unit exploded in the wall and created a fire hazard means nothing?" CSR: "It means that the unit has a problem, but as I mentioned we only have a 1-year warranty for all our unit. And it happened after a year correct? We can still repair the unit but you need to pay for the repair cost. You can call our number for further assistance." So, I called the number for technical support. I was the second person in the cue. It then announced that I was the next person. 16 minutes and 50 seconds later, and ten minutes longer than the estimated five minute hold time, the call cut out. I tried it again. I was caller #5, with an estimated seven-minute hold time. Then #4 with an estimated ten minute hold time. Then #2, five minutes estimated. "First in line" after 14:45 on hold. At 16:25, I was caller #2 again. First in line again at 22 minutes. After 25 minutes, I was able to get a person on the phone. I was told that the unit was out of warranty, but wanted pictures and proof of purchase. I sent both and the issue was "escalated to a manager." After a total of 36 minutes, I was told that the unit was out of warranty and no exceptions could be made. I've purchased about $500-$1000 of Pyle products for a couple of different installations. I have learned my lesson and will not make the mistake again.

Be prepared to drill and tap your owns faceplate screws
The product worked as advertised and setup for my particular situation was easy with the exception no 6-32 face plate screws I had would fit the thick chassis of either side of the device. In fact I broke 2 screws off trying to ease them in with cutting oil and had to get creative with vice grips to get them out. I ended up drilling them at 7/64 and using stainless screws to cut the thread as I didn't have the correct tap with me. I have never found a face plate that mounts with under a #6 size screw. I inquired with tech support over their webpage submission and never heard back even 12 hours later at this moment. I have grown to despise Pyle from bad experiences years back and had this not been the "only" available option for an in wall BT receiver I could find over the course of two weeks, I wouldn't of even tried. I just hope the device lasts beyond its one year warranty and doesn't have a tendency to burn up in the wall. User beware that there might be more to this than just "plug-n-play"

Great Product
We have ordered and Installed at least 5 of these so far into commercial fitness facilities. They are painless to install because of the RJ45 connectors they can be piggy backed to a patch panel that already exists using existing category runs. We love them. they are intuitive and we rarely have to train facility staff on how to use them. The best thing for our application is that we can use them to set a maximum volume for the facility and prevent staff from turning the music up too loud.

Bluetooth Module failure after short usage
Bluetooth stopped working a short time after it was installed. The device continues to pair with a phone or tablet, but you can't hear any audio coming through. The AUX port works just fine, but the Bluetooth module, whole reason for the purchase, no longer works. I have tried many things to troubleshoot it with no avail. Overall the unit had promise with an easy install and pretty good sound quality for the price.

Its good as described.
The controller was received as per the description. Its perfect however its not a standalone amplifier. It requires an external amplifier to power the speakers. Overall its ok.

rango de Bluetooth deficiente
me gusto la idea, lastima que tienes que estar a no mas de un metro de distancia. en este caso es mejor y mas barato un cable. no usare la garantia por cuestiones de tiempo, prefiero dar otra solucion a mi cliente
