Old Friend Men's Adjustable Strap Slipper

In the last seven months I have purchased two pairs of "Men's Adjustable Sheepskin Bootee Slippers". The first pair my wife purchased for me about 6 months ago and the second pair I purchased in December 2020. When I received the first pair, they were comfortable and fit well. So I ordered a second pair. Early March of this year the first pair developed a hole in the sole in the heel of one of the slippers. I began wearing the second pair, however I cannot keep the insoles in the slipper as they work themselves toward the heels, up and out of the slipper. They are no longer comfortable nor fitting well. I am very displeased that I have spent almost $200 for two pairs of slippers which are no longer wearable. This type of performance is more common with products costing less than $40 a pair.

The adjustment lets you set how tight they fit and I like it loose enough to slide into without fussing with the velco. The fuzzy inside is the best you can buy. Yes, you can go outside to get the newspaper, but the outside leather does stain easily. The bottoms are very soft but do wear well. Once they get a fair amount of use you will notice the bottom fuzzy inside wears down. You can then get replacement insoles. There are two versions. Don't get the ones you cut to size. My first pair lasted a very long time and I used to work at home so often kept them on all day. By the time you start to think they are wearing out it can be hard to remember how long you had them (think years). It takes about 5 seconds when you first put them on to figure out how wonderful they really are, The Romeo version I have as well but these are the top. I scored big points when I got a pair for my wife. I just got me second pair as I did wear the first ones out. It's been more than 5 years. They are still made as well as the first pair. These folks know what they are doing.

These are amazing 'slippers'! I've never worn anything so comfortable, the thick lambs wool nap insures a soft pressure from all sides. It feels like my feet are in a special glove, ultra soft and comfortable. I've been forced to wear household slippers for the past 3 years, which can get dangerous in a North Dakota winter. But these 'slippers' act more like shoes with their rubber soles, making them safe to walk on ice covered sidewalks without fear of falling - I've had all the falling I can handle. I'm looking forward to wearing these beauties until they're totally worn out! Maybe I should buy an extra pair now after these give up the ghost in 4-5 years? I want to say Thank You to whomever designed these 'slippers'. Good job, well done!

My husband injured his left foot a few years ago and has difficulty finding shoes or slippers to fit its awkward shape. I recently bought Old Friend adjustable strap bootee and it has been perfect for him. The soft material, they are made from, give to fit his foot, the strap adjusts to hold the slipper on and he can wear them down our gravel drive way to get the paper. A big plus. The slippers are relatively new so I don't know how they will wear. Currently I am so pleased with them that I don't care and will buy another pair when needed. He has worn LLBean moccasin type slippers for several years and they always stretch out so much that they slap on on the floor, very distracting and unsafe. The Old Friend slippers were a better price on Amazon then other sites I checked.

Save you time and money, these are very very low quality and shoddy slippers. I wore them for less than a week and the stitching along the soles came undone. I should have paid closer attention to the many negitive reviews.

these are the most comfortable shoes I own - have purchased several pairs thru amazon over the years in both tan and black (dark grey) - unlike competitor's offerings of synthetic lambswool acrylic these are genuine lambswool for same price or less -these keep feet dryer and remarkably are not hot during summer but remain comfortably warm in winter - sizing runs slightly small so recommend going to 1 size larger especially if wearing regular thickness socks -velcro closure is easy and quick - bottom lambswool insert is removable for cleaning or washing - entire shoe can be run thru washing machine but absolutely must be air dried tumbled afterwards with no heat - even then shoes will shrink somewhat but will work back to about original size - tan color is difficult to keep shoebox new clean but a suede brush helps. The sole is attached well and thick enough to handle pavement outdoors - doesn't slip on wet surfaces - not comfortable for walking on gravel though - they are flat and have no heel.ok, you won't win any praise from fashionistas on the style but if you need a very comfortable shoe that doesn't stink up and is reasonably priced for genuine lambswool comfort - this is your shoe!

I found these last January and showed them to my Dad right after he got out of the hospital for pneumonia. He thought they might work for him. He's worn them pretty much constantly ever since. He says they're warmer than the moccasin type slippers he'd always worn before. The old ones were still intact but because he'd lived in them for around 8 months, they were pretty grody. I ordered another pair and got them within 2 days. They have a rubber sole that helps keep him from slipping. As long as he likes them and they're available, I'll keep ordering them. Thank you.

I've owned two other pairs of these. They were the most comfortable slippers I've ever owned. They fit perfectly. After 11 years one pair finally wore out. I bought a new pair and the first time I wore them I knew something had changed. They were soft inside like my old ones but the flap that you use to secure them was different. I have trouble keeping them tight enough and they feel too big. I wear a size 14W and these fit fine in length but not width. I don't know if it's from the different flap or they're making them differently. I don't think I'd buy them again.

For such an expensive slipper, the stitching fell apart very quickly. Had purchased in the past, but won’t again. Very, very poor quality!

These slippers were much smaller than expected. They are for my dad who has size 12 feet, but we had to order size 15, extra wide. His feet do swell however.
