I used to spend my pool time fishing out leaves and bugs like some sort of backyard pond fisherman. Enter the SWIMLINE HYDROTOOLS Skimmer Kit—the hero my pool didn’t know it needed. This thing is like a bouncer for debris, kicking out every leaf, twig, and bug that tries to crash my pool party. The debris basket is so big and the snap-in, removable weir? Fancy words for "easier than getting my kids to do chores." Plus, it fits right into the wall, so it's like my pool has a secret trapdoor for junk. Now I can finally enjoy a swim without being elbow-deep in skimmer duty every five minutes. This skimmer is officially the hardest-working member of my summer squad!

After spending 5 hours trying to get the screws to go all the way in, I do not understand the reviews that say they just "screwed it on" like it was easy. The holes the screws went in on the skimmer were not a match or not threaded. I used so much energy trying to get the screws tight enough to keep our pool from leaking that I was sore a few days after. My husband tried too and the screws did not go in far enough to tighten the plastic square around the gasket to keep it from leaking. We had many screws get stripped before we could get them tightened enough. The other difficult thing was the screws they sent were flat, so trying to screw a flat end through a tight plastic liner was awful. I got so worried I had ruined our pool until my husband suggested we try different screws. He made a trip to the hardware store and got some that were the same thickness, better material, and had points on them. See picture. We replaced all the screws we received and they tightened much better and stopped the leaks. Thank goodness! If the manufacturer of this can improve the screws that come with it, this product would be so much better. The skimmer is great and comes with a lot of attachments and does work. It was a good value too. Just replace the screws if you receive flat ones and you will love this product.

Super easy to install. Helped a lot during the pool time

I used this on my vinyl above ground pool o just carefully cut out the shape needed after marking it with a sharpie cut it out used a exact knife cut the holes out too little difficult lining up the bolts and I had to cut them off a little because they would tighten all the way I think it’s intended for a thicker sided pool and mines just like canvas thick but I bolted it down going around like a tire and it is great I put a piece of block styro foam between it and the wall so it would sit straight as the sides of my pool are rounded but it’s working fine good quality and product for a very reasonable price thank you

I keep on buying it for customers a nice few times already and I'm very happy

Fits the pool and works good

Love it! Was a been nervous cutting the side of my pool and getting the template made up just right. I did not see one provided with the unit so I just used the gasket provided to make one out of cardboard. Took a few attempts to get it just right but after that it was a breeze. Unit has been on my pool for a few months now and with Love bug season taking hold here in Florida it's been a life saver! Grab yourself a skimmer sock for the basket for anything finer than flys and small bugs. Tiny tree debris from an oak tree near my pool getts trapped very nice in the basket with a skimmer sock.

The risk taking is a bit worrying, however, the results pays of! Inproved the flow and the water is much clearer due to all surface impurities being removed. The listing is not showing all info, but the connector didn't need any adapters and the gasket is already Butterfield. I should add that I installed it while the pool was at highest water level. My logic behind it is that this will be the optimal liner tension while in use, so I installed the skimmer without cutting the liner, did all the connections, and then cut the liner.
