Weigand MKI, MKII, MKIII, 22/45 Scope Mount - Black

Installed on Ruger MK III 22/45 in less than 5 minutes. Used blue loctite for the three mounting screws. Mounted Bushnell TRS-25 RDS to pistol. Adds a bit of weight to pistol and pistol looks awesome with rail and RDS. Looking forward to time at the shooting range.Future mod to pistol to include removal of the magazine disconnect. Highly recommended!Edit 16 April 2016: I originally purchased this rail December 2012. The product was a weaver vice picatinny rail so it does not match the picture unless Weigand redesigned and changed their product as picatinny is more popular. The pistol on the left is a Ruger 22/45 Lite with the Ruger factory rail and the Ruger 22/45 slab side on the right has the Weigand weaver rail, again purchased back in December 2016. Both pistols have a Bushnell TRS-25 RDS mounted with blue locktite. There is sufficient clearance to use the factory iron sight with the RDS removed. I suggest you check the Weigand website to determine if they updated their product to picatinny. It would make since as picatinny is the standard.

The gun shop told me that it needed all three holes tapped to mount it so that cost me 25 a hole. Also , I could not get the gun seated inmy holster far enough to fasten the retention strap snap. After reading up on stretching holsters I just jammed the gun in about ten timesand it went in far enough. Other than those cautions it's fine. Will be mounting my Ozark Armament green laser. At 25 yards I don't thinkit needs much zero.

The Weigand base is very well made. I mounted it on a ruger 22/45 pistol, fit perfectly, I then put a Tasco red/green dotscope on it. I had to cut a new cross channel in the base ( very easy witha hacksaw and file) The dot sight fit perfectly. I useda Tasco laser bore sighter (also from Amazon) to get it close and and so far it is close, I not a super shot but I got a 5 shotgroup of 1.5 in at fifty feet. (I have a homemade rest )

This was a perfect fit. The -1 star is because it didn't come with a wrench to fit the Allen head screws. I'm an average consumer, not a gunsmith. I have a number of Allen wrenches, but my sets skipped this size (odd). I had 3 Phillips head screws that fit the frame, but didn't seat well in this rail so I couldn't use them. I finally found a mate to the screws though I don't remember the size.

The quality is good but the length was too long for my MK3 Standard. I have the 6'' tapered version and of course the mount does not sit flush once the barrel starts its angle. Nothing a dremel couldnt fix though. It looks pretty clean now except for the aluminum color on the end that I cut.

Finish on rail itself is really as good as you could hope for; matches nicely with factory bluing. I have two issues with this product and it loses a star for each and one for general frustrations sake.1. Hex key included in packaging DOES NOT FIT supplied screws (others have mentioned having the same problem). No issues finding the correct one, however just annoying... Why bother Weigand? Leaves a bad taste from the very start.2. Supplied screws are longer than spec thickness of chamber wall (only an issue with rear-most threaded hole). Caused bolt to hang up upon first test fit as it was protruding into the chamber and hitting the guide rod/ spring; NOT GOOD! A quick trip to the bench grinder and issue was remedied but......This is a nearly $30 rail section..... Would buy from a different vendor next time for sure.

Nice rail, although it did require that I file it a bit to have a flush fit with the front sight post on my Mk III. Had seen that in other reviews though so, I was prepared for that.

just got it and mounted it its perfect so far haven't shot it yet with a site mounted will amend after I get to the range and test it out.Ok Update 5 stars ZERO problems installing it and scope wen on no problem. Holds zero and have put 200 rounds down range all in the black.Good fit!!!
