If you are looking to use this for your classroom to put student folders, be aware that standard Oxford bottom pocket folders do not fit in them unless you cut off the tab labeled "A" that gets folded down and inside the shortest side of the box. Even after cutting this piece off, it's still a snug fit. I had already assembled them when I realized this. I purchased them because I wanted to get very calming/cozy colors for my classroom. I've never had problems with past magazine holders and assumed these would be big enough. Needless to say, two days before students begin and I spent valuable time cutting off the front tab. I will know better for next school year. I hope this helps you.

I love the boxes. They are cheap, easy to assemble, and coral my magazines into a manageable collection..I was disappointed in the shipping though. They are cardboard and were shipped in a cardboard box without plastic overwrap. They arrived and were put in my townhouse locked package locker. The key would not work in the lock, so the package was stuck in the box for a number of days while I tried to contact the post office. They were somewhat warped, but useable. A plastic overwrap around the boxes would have prevented this since they were not exposed to rain, just the moisture coming from the poorly sealed mailbox.

If you care for your magazines and want to store them for future reference, then these cardboard boxes are the best bang for the buck! Plastic storage boxes can't be ordered in more than two sizes; Fellowes makes four sizes of Bankers Boxes! Magazines come in various sizes, some change sizes during their "run!" So, flexibility is paramount for the collector. Plus, cardboard will "give" when one extra magazine is inserted, giving you a chance to add magazines, if necessary, to complete a year, "season," or additional "special" supplement.

These Bankers Box/Fellowes magazine file holders are too flimsy for use with a heavy load of magazines. A side-by-side comparison with older magazine holders this company produced over the past several years shows that cardboard in the new holders is about half as thick.I feel it's way too much money to spend for these new file holders when they are simply not likely to last and may fall apart with continued use.Please note the older reviews of this product are quite positive -- when the quality was there with heavier cardboard. In my opinion, such reviews are NOT relevant today -- particularly with the apparent slip in quality. In fact, the most recent review agrees with this assessment -- these new Bankers Box/Fellowes file holders are too flimsy. Look elsewhere if you need something sturdy.

I bought these file holders to store my coloring books in. They are okay, pretty easy to put together and sturdy enough for magazines or coloring books. The price was decent, but of the 12 I received one was completely unusable and one I had to cut and fold in a different place to make it usable, and that's the reason I only gave the set of holders 4 stars. These were a great price for organizing my wife's sewing magazines, which are heavy! She says they are working really well for her. She wanted them in gray, but they were more expensive for the same item, so she's using the brown ones and they work just fine!

Had bought some of these years ago to file church music on shelves. Lot of years and they are still good and sturdy. With more music I was fortunate to find more again. They match the older ones perfectly. I bought extras this time to have as we add more tonite collection.

The Bankers Box line is great. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase these again. Not as colorful as the Classroom Magazine File Organizers (which are also a little taller and deeper, making them better for bigger magazines) but still great, especially for the smaller magazines and/or where a more subdued color is needed.

I bought these to organize my picture books. They don't fit the largest books, but I knew that when I ordered them (actually more fit than I would have expected). Mine haven't tipped over (but they're on a bookshelf so that adds some stability). I ended up ordering another set right away because I used them for more than just books.

I used these to store magazines and patterns. They are sturdy and just the right size.
