Works great for pesky gaps that allow cold air in.
This works great for the gap in my double hung single pane windows. I cut it to size (be gentle so it doesn't tear on its own) then into half lengthwise and used both pieces to fill the middle gap of my windows where cold air was gushing in. I did not have to push it in, so it will come up/out easy when warmer weather is here and I want to open my windows. Hopefully I can remove and store so I can use the same pieces again next winter.

Nice qulaity
For three years the windows in my apartment have bled cold air. I turned to the Internet and discovered a This Old House and a video about this product. It has worked wonders by stopping all the leaking air. Follow the directions on the packaging and you'll have no issues. This is simple to use and stays in place without issue.

Works instantly!
This roll is going to last roughly forever -- you don't apply the whole roll, the caulk roll pictured is actually made up of several strips of the caulk that you can peel off in single strings. Very easy to apply on window seams and my drafty basement room felt warmer right away. Not too sticky but stays on perfectly on the vertical gaps I've used it on so far. Great bang for the buck too!

Okay for some areas.
I like that it was easy to use and removed without damaging the wood frame.

Very Useful for a Variety of Problems
Such a useful product. I used it to plug up air gaps in tight spaces. No mess like ordinary caulking to wipe up.

Boy, does this work...
I’m renting for the first time in years, and the place is... drafty, to say the least. The windows have gaps between them and their casement, and I was debating this versus ugly sheets of plastic over them so that my heating bills aren’t worse than they’d be already in a New England winter. Since I can’t fix the real problem, and it would be unreasonable to expect my landlord to, I found this and the plastic sheeting, and decided to test this out first. It’s a dry putty caulk, basically. Easy-ish to put on, supposedly easy to remove (I’ll update in spring if needed). It is like a dry version of silly putty, extruded into joined ropes. At first I thought, “why???”, but it makes sense, really; most of my gaps just need one strand, but the sizable gap between the window and sill at the bottom (I don’t remember what that part is really called) required three to fill it to my satisfaction, in a sort of triangular configuration that was surprisingly easy to achieve. Yes, it’s a pain to tear them apart; be patient and go slow, and it works fine. Mine wasn’t melted or dried out—and the box says it WON’T dry out—so I was able to cover all the gaps on the window next to my small kitchen table. I sit here for work and for food, and believe me, it was a lot chillier before I did this. I’m going to have to move all the plants from the other window to do it next, but it’s worth it. Then the upstairs; the living room has plastic from prior tenants (a big clue that there is a problem), but I hate both it and not being able to use the blinds, so I am considering replacing with this instead. Could do both, if it’s really bad, but my heat doesn’t run constantly anymore, between this and some weatherstripping on the drafty doors, so I’m going to wait and see about that for now. I feel fine sitting next to the window right now, though it’s rather cold outside, so I suspect this will be enough. The mixed reviews made me wonder whether to go for it or not; I say, if you get a good batch like I did, a nice, normal roll, it’s totally worth it. I can do all eight double windows, I think, with this one roll... and if not, it’s pretty inexpensive to reorder. I was dreading fussing with the plastic, and now it looks like I don’t have to!!!

Best stuff ever for drafty windows!
If you are feeling a draft from the cracks of your window frames you block the crack with this product. It is easy to put on and take off when springs finally comes. My parents bought a beautiful old home and we used this my whole childhood. I had to use it in my current home until I replaced all the windows. This roll I bought for a friend in assisted living. They get cold from the drafty windows.. $5 stopped that and there is some left for another, her time. It is so easy to use. I was doing ,y own bedroom window at age 7. What you save in heat loss more than pays the cost of the product!

Great sealant
Bought this to seal some draughty windows. Yes it is sticky and take care to separate the roll and the strands but worth the trouble. Works a treat.
