Govinda - Sandalwood, Sage & Lavender - Ramakrishnananda Hand-Rolled Stick Incense

Truly beautiful. Strong, potent, and wonderful smelling. Honestly, EVERYTHING from Prabhuji is amazing. I love Sandalwood, Sage, and Lavender very much, though. After Padmini Radmanjari (I think that's how you spell it) it's my favorite. If you're sensitive to strong smells, you will benefit more from burning this in a large space or a place with ventilation, but if you have constant allergies where your nose is stuffy 90 percent of the time, you'll definitely enjoy the strength and power this puts out. I burn it in my medium sized bedroom and just think it's wonderful. I am, of course, one of those allergy sufferers. This is just one of the greatest I've ever used. I DO agree with some other reviews that you cannot detect the sandalwood, sage, or lavender at all by themselves, but I think they have managed to combine in such a beautiful way that it doesn't matter if these ingredients are not detected. Now, you might be able to smell them if you have no allergies and burn them in close quarters, but I just enjoy the beautifully blended ingredients and the thick sticks. The sticks burn a rather long while, but you will definitely wish you got more than 10ish sticks. I say 10ish because ten is what you're supposed to get, but I've bought others in Prabhuji's line of incense sticks and sometimes you'll find 11 or 12 sticks, or sometimes just 9 if they're extra thick. I think these are packaged by weight rather than stick count.

I wanted to give this incense more stars, but it is too heavy, thick and cloying for my use, and I would not buy it again. I actually had a hard time breathing when this incense was in use, although it did smell wonderful. Also, you do not get much for what you pay for. I think if you do not mind a thick/heavy scented incense smoke, it would be perfect, but if you prefer a lighter incense, avoid this one.

I wasn’t fond of the scent but a friend I gave it to loved it. It’s pretty strong but it is of good quality.

I was shocked when I opened the pack to find there were only five sticks. I don't think the count was included in the description. The scent is pleasant but light and doesn't have an "incensy" smell. I'm just disappointed that there were only five sticks.

Govinda ~ First Time Testing This Scent, and it was Love at First Sniff. Leaves a Lavish lingering scent. So it's being put to good use in corridor of apartment. But $4.93 price paid here on Amazon is steep! Found this at a local Health Food Grocery next door of Pain Management Doctor's location for $2.49. Will have to stock up on next visit. ^_^ ♥

I just lite my first one tonight. I used it to bless myself, my son and our home. It smells so lovely and I will be ordering again thank you!

I absolutely love this scent and this product.It's a cleansing and relaxing fragrance, without too much smoke. ash or residue left behind.If you like sage and you like lavender--you will love this! Great for meditation, your spiritual work, or just creating a beautifully scented space.

These incense sticks smell great but they will not stay lit for more than a couple of minutes😠
