Skar Audio SK1X12V Single 12" Universal Fit Ported Subwoofer Enclosure

Switched over from a sealed box to this ported box. My bass has almost doubled! I don’t enjoy blasting music high volume I usually keep it in the 50% range and the bass perfectly compliments the sound of the music. With sealed box I had to really crank up the sound to even feel the bass and it was honestly annoying. With ported I can actually feel the bass hit which is more enjoyable at lower volumes. Deep bass especially. If you listen to drum & bass, hardstyle or any type of EDM and hip hop, I highly reccomend switching over to a ported box. I am running an Infinity reference 1270 woofer with this box. Recommended cubic ft of sound was at 2.5 for this sub but this box at 2.0 works just fine. Only issue was that my subwoofer was too large for the box so I did some minor cutting with a saw blade and then will just spray paint the exposed wood black which is no biggie. Box is nice and heavy and you can tell it’s good quality. If you have a Hyundai Genesis coupe you will have to remove the plastic trim in the truck to be able to fit this box in the trunk….. it still took some work to fit it in even after removing the trim but it will fit. If you remove the spare tire, box will go right in with no problem. The box is a lot larger in person but again it’s rated at 2 cubic ft. This box will really show true potential of your sub especially if you are currently running sealed. I also highly reccomend to retune ur amp gain and crossover to avoid distortion and potential damage to ur subwoofer. It is easy to do with the SMD distortion and crossover calibration device but there are other ways as well which you can just find on YouTube which is a way cheaper route. Cheers

Product quality is top-notch for the price It was damaged when it came in the protruding corner on the face of the box was damaged There’s not a whole Lotta protection Other than some cardboard and it’s heavy So I don’t blame these Amazon guys if somebody dropped it It’s Awkward Size Nothing that affects the sound quality Or performance so I’m going to roll with it

Medium size box solid sturdy the sound from my sub is loud fit my trunk without taking up too much space worth the money I originally tried to install a p3 the notches on that sub prevents it from fitting due to the box extended edges

Bought this box for a high powered sub besides a Skar sub and the specs are perfect for a pre fab box. The sound quality that the port is tuned to and the durability is great. Awesome value for the price point and the performance it compliments my CV VMaxx impeccable!

I bought this subwoofer box for my 12 inch skar audio subwoofer and the build design is clean the corners are super smooth. The sub plays really well in the box plays low bass notes well the box is tuned right.

Well built box, quality wire inside to hook up the sub, but the mounting ring of my Rockford Fosgate P3 12 did not fit between the overhangs of the top and bottom. I had to chisel about 1/4 inch of the MDF from the top overhang to mount the sub. Once it was in, I glued the carpet back down over the chisel section to hide it. Otherwise, it’s very good, great response around its tuning frequency, and looks quite nice. Chose this box as it was one of the few I could find here with a large enough internal volume for this particular sub and was made out of good thick MDF. I could have built one, and I have in the past, but I find myself short of the time necessary to build one these days. Overall I’m fairly happy with the purchase.

Great price for a quality box. Had it in for a few months pushing a 2200 watt sub and handling it well.

1st box was damaged so had to get replacement. But that was who ever shipped it put 2 flimsy pieces of packing material in a huge amazon box and it had multipledamage points. This one got here no damage and super fast. 1st enclosure I received had alot of damage and i just wasnt gonna except it at this price. 2nd box I'll update after I pound it with my new sub. But seems all around better. Carpet is cut better, looks to be more Adhesive in the corners, and everything is what I was expecting with the purchase. Best looking and feeling prefab ive ever bought. Probably will fill in and cap off the terminal cup as i am not a fan of these in my boxes as they leak, rattle, and weeken the wall, but it is what it is but not terrible. I just like direct lead connects. Now let's see how she performs. I Will let you know.
