Sumo has brought back two West Coast favorites. The old UFO and Ironman #1 and #3 jigs were a favored small heavy jig, used inshore for barracuda, bonito, bass.... Both feature a rounded front, flattened back for a nice flutter on the drop. It's an established fact, pinning on a fresh dead, frozen or live squid to a jig like this is effective. It's a trusted way to hang a big croaker. Drop the bait down, give it a crank or two up, and stick the rod in the holder. Darn easy stuff. You've probably heard the buzz about these things, the lumo finish does indeed improve odds of success. Grab a couple and give 'em a try.
