Worthless product
Do NOT buy . . . they don't last but a heart beat. Waste of money and waste of time to install. This product cannot handle any amount of water on it or traffic of any type or kind . . pathetic to the very core and waste of money since Watergate! :(

easy to use
We used these for wood steps up to the back porch in our cabin, which steps get very slick with algae/moss growth. Cleaning the steps prior to adhering the strips was a beast, but that's not the strips' fault. Once steps were clean and dry, strips were very easy to apply - they don't try to curl or anything. Seem to be adhering well, but it's only been two weeks. Attractive and texture is opposite of slick. Only gave 4/5 stars for durability because hasn't been long enough to fully judge. Just make sure you know exactly where you're laying them down before you do it, as there's no picking them back up!

Strong Adhesive!
I'm getting about 100 more of these. Maybe 200. I've used these on metal steps and wood decking. I had pretty low expectations because honestly I didn't get the surfaces very (at all) clean. Originally using these sticky treads was a stop gap measure! It's been nearly six months in 100 degree heat, full sun, torrential rains, tons of mud, the sticky treads are still stuck! So much for my "temporary" solution. Interestingly - I cut several of these in two inch wide strips - the grippiness where I put them down in strips is actually better when it's most challenging, compared to the full strip. Overall, it works great, though it would be easy to improve on shiny metal and slimy wood, I guess.

Nice set of stair treads and they are sticking well ...
Nice set of stair treads and they are sticking well to my painted wooden steps. However, the grit is rather light and does not give slip-resistance with a light coating of frost. Having fallen on the steps from frost in the past I was hoping this would keep me from falling again. The first frost I had after applying these treads I tested the top step by rubbing my foot across it and it was still slippery! Because of this I now exit the house from a different exit (which is further from my car) is order to avoid falling again. Need to find something with heavier grit coating than this. If you're planning to use these indoors or someplace that won't get ice they will work for you, but not for the purpose I was hoping.

They are good, but don't last forever.
I bought these about two years ago for a wooden deck handicap ramp. At first they worked, but eventually started coming off. They don't stick well to wood at all if it gets wet. What I did is stapled them down with a construction stapler. That worked well for a while. I live in Michigan and they get plenty of abuse with cold and salt. I used about 30 staples for each tread. After two years, about 30% of each tread had broken off, but basically they still worked. Last week I took off all the old ones and replaced them with new ones, having purchased the 25-pack.I would still recommend them. Even if I have to replace them every two years, they work very well to prevent accidents, and there is simply nothing else on the market that compares in utility, price. and ease of installation. If you are putting them on wood, staple to taste. Not perfect, but flexible and relatively cheap.

Curled up at the wood stairs edges
It’s a bit disappointed about those adhesive nonslip stair treads. I purchased and applied those stickers awhile back when it was still raining season, even now no more rainy days during summer. Those are meant to apply before rainy days arrived to prevent outdoor slippery. But I just found out those stickers were kind of curled up at the corner on my wood stairs outdoor. If those are meant to be used outdoor, then should tolerate the hot summer too. I’m having problems with wood stairs only not on concrete ones.

Just wheat I wanted✅
I have tile flooring in our den where my 3 bulldogs spend most of their time. They are 8 years old & their hips aren’t what they use to be. Had area rugs down for a while, but collected too much pet dander & dust, so I went the route of the stair treads. They have worked out really great!! Installed them quickly & now my fur babies feel much more secure!! As an added bonus, it doesn’t bother me if I come in from rain & my shoes are wet - I don’t worry about slipping...

So far so good...
Installed about two months ago in 60 degree dry weather. They appear to be holding on to the painted spiral metal stair very well. NOTE: The steps were cleaned with soap and water first (damp cloth) then wiped with acetone to remove all possible oils and residue, and condition the surface. Time will tell.

Non slip stick on treads
Non slip stick on strips for slippery surfaces such as boat decks and garden decking. This works well if kept clean, but if the surface is clogged with detritus then anything can happen. My last set (not from this manufacturer) only lasted three years before they became loose, and this needs watching. Expensive but worth it for the safety.

Safer tread on slippery surface
Easily stuck to slippery worn uneven inner step. I only use one at a time so have just replaced 1st which had lifted in the middle due to wet & crack in brick step. Have cut 2nd one to fit surface better. They certainly make the step a lot safer to use. Perhaps if using externally sealant around the edge would help prevent water getting underneath.

I dont recommend this product
Not great. It lasted a little while though I was always a bit wary of it as it seemed that rain got underneath each peace of tape, despite my ensuring they were all stuck down properly. Finally they all gave up the ghost today as they literally slid off the steps. As I had to buy two packs this is an expensive bad buy for me.

Excellent product.
Used on internal wooden steps in a narrow boat. They work perfectly and were extremely simple to fit.

more comfortable and less harsh/hard than stepping on the naked stairs
Not had icy or snowy conditions yet but have had heavy rain and some frost and these strips have certainly given us more confidence when navigating our steep, concrete steps. Stepping on them has been softer, more comfortable and less harsh/hard than stepping on the naked stairs.
