Worked great
After reading other reviews. I tested the wiring and everything was correct. Aside from testing uses, I needed to apply 12v to the connector since the vehicle had a buried electrical issue. Worked great.

Does what's needed
I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I also noticed where some were expecting something other than a simple breakout box. The first thing I did was verify that all the pins and ports matched and were connected. The only thing that seemed a bit strange was that when checking the two grounds, I found that there was slight continuity between then. When measuring the chassis ground between pin and port, there was continuity and no resistance. When checking the other signal ground without moving to a different pin, there was resistance instead of open. It was the same when checking signal ground vs. chassis ground port. I figure this won't be a big deal. Some were complaining that the led's on the CAN lines don't work. I'm not sure why they would as the voltage change is so quick I can't image they would have time to light. Bad design maybe but I wasn't expecting them to light. The battery and ground did light and the voltage was shown. The display is a bit dim and the middle number was definitely more dim than the others. Once again, not a big deal.I bought this breakout box to use with a scope. I wanted to see if the network was being corrupted. I made the mistake of thinking I would be able to read network data at the OBD2 port. I wasn't getting the expected wave form. This was a 2003 Saturn VUE. I decided to see what would happen if I tried it in my 2017 Escape. There I was seeing the network traffic. I checked the wiring schematic for the VUE and found that nothing was on CAN pins 6 and 14. I can't check CAN signals from that port. I had to go straight to the BCM to check for CAN signals. Not the fault of the breakout box.So far it seems worth the money and I'll get some use from it in the future.
