Easily repeatable throws due to excellent design
A friend gave me a set of darts that were like these in that they had a scalloped design for exact finger placement, for each throw. Unfortunately, the darts he gave me were purchased in the Philippines and I had no way of getting more. So, I set out on a bit of a quest to find more of the same here in the U.S. I failed in that quest, but I did find these here on Amazon during the search.I was hesitant at first to buy these because the nearly $100 price for a single set of darts seemed a bit much for a casual dart player, such as myself. However, I really wanted to improve my throws and be more consistent and felt that having a set like this, with the design that lends itself greatly to the same finger placement for each and every throw, was very important to improving my throwing technique. I eventually pulled the trigger and bought a set of these and have been extremely happy with my purchase. I coupled these darts with "Target Darts Phil 'The Power' Taylor Gen 5 Titanium Shaft" (also reviewed here on Amazon) because the aluminum shafts that I had previously purchased would sometimes bend if the dart didn't stick to the board and fell to the concrete floor in my garage where my dartboard is placed. The two together are winning combination and I recommend both. I cannot say that my scores have improved greatly, but I do think my throws have been getting incrementally better and better with practice. On the note of practice: I am lazy. As a result, once I realized how much I liked these dart barrels, I ended up purchasing two more sets, just for the purpose of practicing with them. How does that help me practice? Well, I throw 9 darts before I walk to the board to retrieve them. I aim 3 for the bullseye, and then 3 more at one of the cricket targets (15 - 20) and then walk to the board, retrieve the darts, and then do it all over again. When I had just one set of darts, I felt like I was spending just as much time walking to and from the board to get darts as I was throwing. So, I have cut my trips by 1/3 by having 3 sets of darts to practice with instead of just 1. Again, yes, I am lazy. However, please note that I like these darts so much that I was still willing to spend the money to get 2 more sets to practice with my first set.So, if I like them so much, why did I only give them 4/5 stars? Well, even though I like these darts a lot, it is still tough to justify the cost of $100 per set. Based on my research, of which I did a lot, I feel that $75 - $80 would be a more appropriate price. If that were the cost, I would easily have given these darts the full 5 stars.

QUALITY dart with easily repeatable grip
I shot darts for 6-7 years, almost 20 years ago. Due to the Covid19 "lockdown", I've taken up the game again. I'm 73 and not going on tour anytime soon. lol I do strive to be the best I can be however. In the last 8 months, I've tried a half dozen styles of darts. This model allows me to maintain the same grip dart after dart. I have the 20gm soft tip version which is center weighted. I have a bristle board at home, but my brother-in-law has a soft tip board we play on a few times a month. Purchasing the soft tip version allows me to use steel tip conversion tips (available here on Amazon) so I can toss the same basic dart at either type of board. I've also experimented with adding 2gm "Add-a-Gram" weights to the front of the dart, taking them from 20gm center-weighted to 22gm front-weighted, so it's become a very flexible dart. As someone else has mentioned, I now have 4 sets of these; 3 with the steel point conversion set up and 1 with soft tip which I leave at my brother-in-law's house. When I practice, I'm able to throw 9 darts before walking to the board, which saves a lot of wear and tear on my "old people" legs. I wish I had tried these 1st and I wouldn't have $600 tied up in other darts I never use. I love these things and strongly recommend them for their flexibility (hard/soft), consistency of grip and flight path reliability.

Super grippy dart with a good groove for a consistent grip
These are very grippy darts. The heavy scallops are probably not for everyone but they are exactly what I have been looking for. I used to throw Hinotori Sacred Flame Atar darts because they had a similar groove I would use to make sure I always gripped them consistently. The Hinotori's were great, but they became smooth too quickly and my fingers would slip on the darts when throwing. These darts are grippy and sharp. I have a feeling they will stay that way for quite some time. Love 'em.
