Using it as a fancy remote control
I had an old netbook that I wired into my home stereo system and set it to automatically boot up into a music player and play my MP3 collection. Works perfect, but there is one flaw- I'd have to get up and go switch songs manually on the netbook keyboard. I was considering buying a presentation clicker and using that as some kind of remote when the idea hit me- they must make a small wireless keyboard that I could use essentially as a fancy remote control. So I found the RII Mini keyboard listed online and decided to give it a try. It works great! Now I can simply use the keyboard to adjust volume, pause songs, switch songs, etc. from across the room! The unit is smaller than I thought and feels well built. Charging it initially took about an hour, plugged in the USB receiver and it self installed in seconds! Only one minor complaint- the unit has an on/off switch, but when it's on it also goes into "sleep" mode when not used for awhile. This means that if I am listening to a few songs in a row and then one comes up I'd like to skip I have to press a key and wait a few seconds for the unit to wake up and then I can switch songs. I'd prefer it to remain awake unless the on/off switch it turned off as sometimes I switch songs often and other times I don't, and having to wake it up each time is a little annoying, but overall it's a GREAT little unit!

Perfect for Raspberry Pi
If you use your Raspberry Pi in a living room setting for multi-media then this might be for you. For too long I was using a standard USB wireless keyboard which was just too clumsy in the living room. I decided to research mini-keyboards and selected this one. Excellent choice. It has a sturdy feel to it yet is very lightweight. The rubber keys are nice and clicky. Excellent range and quick response. It is a plug-n-play and ready to use. My favorite features:1) The track pad is not too sensitive and there is also a D-pad providing an efficient alternative to the track pad.2) Battery charge time is under 30 minutes. No kidding.3) Built-in compartment for the USB dongle.4) It is about the same size as a typical remote control. See picture.5) It automatically turns off when not in use after a few minutes. Power switch on the side too.6) Cost effective. And without power draining features like back lighting, it has a decent battery life between charges. I am really glad I found this product and has made my multi-media entertainment much more efficient.

Rii mini USB 2.4GHz keyboard (regular, not premium)
We ordered this in March 2016, and it is currently January 2017 (almost a year now of use). It's a great little device! I like the small size, as it can fit near my bed with the other remotes and not take up a huge chunk of space nor be unwieldy in a limited space. The trackpad can be a tad wiggy at times (too sensitive at some moments, and not sensitive enough at others - and yes, I have played with the sensitivity controls via Control Panel on my computer), but overall, it works just fine. Due to the unpredictability of the trackpad, I gave 4 instead of a full 5 stars, but it really is a great little device. Its charge lasts a loooonnng time, I don't even know how long, as I go weeks, even months, in between charging - caveat to that is, I do not use it constantly. I turn it on to start up my computer media center for Netflix viewing, once I have everything going, show chosen and playing, I turn it off (it does have a sleep mode, but I find turning it on from off is faster than waking it up from sleep). I will turn it on to use it if need be to switch shows or pause shows or when it is time to turn off the computer. So, I actually use it very little - but for what I need it for, it does well. I have used it as a (typing) keyboard a few times with that same computer when needing to search for things. It does a good job and responds to the keys very well. I wouldn't be able to *easily* type up long essay style things (like this review) on it, due to size (thumb typing is not a skill I have developed very well), but then, I didn't buy it for such a reason. Basically, as a "remote control" device that is used to control a computer media center, it is perfect!

Works great for me!
I have now had this product for about 1 and 1/2 weeks now. The keyboard arrived on time, professionally packed with instructions and works as expected. I needed this to use it on my HT PC.However, there are 2 plastic pieces (which I think are holders) but I have no idea how to use them and there are no instructions for them. I intend to ask the manufacturer on what these do.Pros:* Just plug in the USB (hidden in a neat compartment) and go* Rechargeable from USB (wire provided), so need to worry about batteries.* Simple and compact design that works in horizontal and vertical modes.* has tap and hold for easy scrolling (see cons)* OK price pointCons:* Mouse acceleration is unpredictable at times. Cursor movement slows down over flash/Amazon prime videos* Trackpad is small. Double-Tap and Hold sometimes runs out of space (Double-Tap and Hold is never accurate on such touchpads; case-in-point: surface pro touch/type covers is horrible for this).* Backlight would be nice to have.* Mouse click buttons are further away from trackpad and the user gets disoriented when you turn it into vertical mode.Scope for improvement:If the manufacturer adds a trackball (a small one like on HTC Google Nexus 1 phones) instead of a touchpad, IMHO this product will become perfect (of course, we need a way for the trackball to be removed for cleaning the rollers).

Works Great
I'm using this with a Raspberry Pi 3B+. It connected right away without any issues. The keyboard is responsive and the Pi registers all buttons correctly. The size is perfect for my application but I can see it being a problem for others because it is quite small. The touchpad works well, but sometimes small movements don't quite register, this could be the Pi, though. I wish the sleep mode timer was a little longer.
