This appears to be just as good as my originals, but I had to significantly file down the plastic to make it fit in the dashboard hole. Took a while to get it to fit because I didn't want to file off too much, but eventually fit into the dashboard with a satisfying snap! Trim piece fit perfectly, tightly, into grommet.

Didn't attach to the trim at all out the box. Had to bend the metal part down to make it hold. After that, the trim has held for a few weeks now with no problem
