Satisfied with looks, durability, ease of installation and low odor.
I selected Bona Traffic HD for coating 12 non-stained natural Maple stair treads and Maple hand rails due to customer reviews, because it was water based and because HD had lower VOCs and reported odors. I used Bona Seal before applying Bona Traffic HD and used a paint applicator pad for both products in March of 2014. The stairs and hand rails still look brand new to me with no yellowing and no visible wear (but we're a small family of three). I'm very satisfied with the end result, the durability, the level of effort required to install it and the low odor. (The Bona Seal had a stronger smell than the Bona Traffic.) During application, I would coat every other stair tread at bedtime so there would be at least 8hrs drying time. We were careful to use the uncoated stair tread the next day, but the coated tread was dry enough to walk on with socks. I did this procedure for three coats. I didn't sand between coats and I'm satisfied with the gloss and smoothness. I'm now coating white wash painted stair treads before installation for a room over the garage. Used Bona Seal over the white wash and have one coat of Traffic HD so far.

Good value
Had tried other finishes of bona before. i think semi gloss is a perfect choice if you’re looking for a satin finish in the long run. i had satin finish before and it went almost mat within a year. good quality product but make sure to let it hardened for at least a week before moving furniture

Looks very nice
Looks good I used it on my yellow pine floor unfortunately it’s not quite strong enough to stop the dog scratches but I would imagine in a hardwood it would hold up well I applied three coats I would buy again

Super Easy to Use (+ Important Strainer Tip)
I applied using the 18" DuraFoam T-bar applicator and pad. It was smooth and easy to finish. The weight of the bar pulled the puddle along the edge smoothly. I had one spot that I thought was going to be problematic, but everything leveled as it dried. Not a brush stroke to be seen. I did work a wet edge, and feather upwards on the lifts. It can be helpful to review the Bona videos. The best one I picked up was the nylon trick. The strainer that comes with this product is not very fine. As noted in other reviews, chunks of sediment (a necessary part of the manufacturing process) can pass through and leave artifacts in the finish. Bona suggests using a segment of nylon - women's tights - to wrap over the strainer before inserting the strainer into the bottle. Single ply. That made all of the difference and I got a mirror-like finish.

Fantastic product for an unique and unusual problem
I run the building maintenance department for one of the largest natural history museum/aquariums in the world. We use Bona HD as a protective coating on all of our painted handrails in the building. We get over 1.5 million visitors a year and the wear and tear on our painted railings is amazingly destructive. We have one section of our building that simulates the Amazon Rainforest and the railings are exposed to high temperatures, constant rain and lot's of UV. Before we started using Bona as a top coating my painters would have to repaint the railings in the rainforest every 3 months. After using Bona we only have to repaint every year, a significant savings in time and money. Another advantage to using Bona is that it is water based and low odor - because we have live animals/fish/birds in many parts of our museum we cannot use products with high VOC's or obnoxious odors. My painters can use latex paints to color the railings and then add 5-6 coats of Bona over the paint to act as protection. I know this is not what the product was designed for but I can confidently say that this is one tough coating that works even in extremely harsh conditions.

Love the finish this provides!
We had to refinish 50 treads of wood stairs in our house. Red Oak wood. Stairs have lots of traffic, and feet often have sand. We decided to stain the wood BLUE! And I was concerned about how to protect finish while still allowing the stained wood grain to show through. Tried the Bona Traffic HD Commercial finish (2 coats flat, 1 coat semi gloss, and applicator blended in a bit of the blue stain). Finish is fantastic! I realized I don’t have an adequate picture of final product on hand, but will endeavor to update the review. Finish is just the level of sheen we wanted, not shiny but does reflect light in a subtle way. We have had it in place a couple of months, and not one spot of scratches or wear anywhere…supper happy. Worth the extra money this costs.

Terrible finish!
Horrible product! I purchased this high dollar bona wanting the best finish. I don't know if it's because the product is water-based but, the product dries so fast it's been impossible to feather in and we have tried every way possible that the videos show and still have dragging marks and weird finish. We finally gave up and put our furniture back on the floor and will research it try again in the future. Really sucks!!

Dries quickly minimal smell
Easy to use! First time ever sanding and resurfacing floors. YouTube videos helped a lot. I did 3 coats of this over the span of a couple days. Hardened nice and was easy to apply once I got the hang of it.

The picture of my order showed 2 bottles: one which we took to be the required hardner - this product will apparently be of no use to me without the hardner?
