Finally wireless mice come of age!
I used the original Microsoft Bluetooth mouse, several Micorosft wireless mice (not bluetooth), and a miniature laser 5000 for notebooks from Microsoft. This is easily the best I've had and here's why:1) on off switch - worth mentioning twice2) invisible laser very accurate3) works on every surface I've tried4) on off switch -- if you're a traveler like me and you prefer a full size mouse, this is a fantastic option5) rechargeable6) can take a regular AA battery if you aren't in a place to recharge7) energy efficient (2 weeks on a charge)8) looks good9) the wheel is very smooth and silicon10) the wheel tilts left and right and you can push as a button although the pushbutton is a bit hard as another reviewer commented.11) if you're a home user the recharging base is fantastic, looks cool and very easy to plug set the mouse on for it to charge12) Full sized -- I love full sized mice and with the on/off switch, this is a wonderful laptop traveling mouse13) BLUETOOTH -- this is huge if you have a laptop or desktop replacement with built in bluetooth....Microsoft includes a bluetooth dongle but my mouse mated up perfectly with my HP laptop and with my Dell. Bluetooth is a standard so the mouse should mate up with any bluetooth laptop. With a bluetooth laptop, I don't have to worry about dongles or wires or anything like that...the mouse just works. What I don't like about this mouse:1) the side minature (supplementary) buttons are either hard to use or unusable especially the right hand side one, haven't figured out a real way to click it. I can use my thumb for the left one. Although with the other mice were really right handed mice and this one is more of an ambidextrous --- in the other mice, if you were left handed, you were out of luck unless Microsoft made a left handed version of the mouse. With this mouse you get one auxilliary button that you can click with your thumb if you're a lefty or a rightie...just a thought. Microsoft might have just split the difference in the design to create an ambidextrous mouse that isn't perfect for the right handed person but which provides one thumb auxilliary button for the left handed...2) the charger should be able to plug in directly into mouse but with the options of taking a regular A battery and with the long life of battery this is almost a nonissue3) when I bought this mouse it was too expensive but its dropped some, I imagine it will continue to dropOverall,I'm very glad that the people at Microsoft people listened to the users and made this pretty much the best ambidextrous wireless bluetooth mouse.

Great mouse.. only one complaint.
I got this mouse for my wife, who works online all day.PROS:It fit her hand really well, and ergonomics was a concern when I went looking for a mouse. She says that it was very comfortable in her hand. She didn't feel like she had to make a "claw" with her hand to use this, and her wrist angle was good. The mouse worked well with Windows XP, Vista, and 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It installed easy, and was smooth and responsive.CONS:There is a known issue with this mouse that she also encountered. The battery compartment is too large. This causes the battery to move. She had times where the mouse stopped working, or did not charge when placed on the charger. This is remedied by placing a piece of folded paper or something in the compartment as a shim to hold the battery in place. While this is any easy fix, it is a design flaw that should never pass QA. The other complaint is that it only lasted her about 14 months. Granted that she is on her computer a lot, I expect better durability. She isn't clicking hard like some spastic gamer, but does have a lot of normal use.OVERALL:She LOVED this mouse, and wants another one. We are hoping that she just had one "made on a Friday" last time.

"Ouch!", says my wallet and my hand!
The Good: The 4-way scroll wheel is interesting. It's nice to be able to tilt it left or right to scroll sideways. It had a flawless set up with my Macbook (despite no official support) I know, this is all I feel is worth mentioning as many of the other advertised features on this mouse are readily available elsewhere. The Bad: Side buttons are placed too awkwardly to be useful. They're customizable but you'll cramp up if they're assigned any function that requires regular use. The scroll wheel is ridiculously stiff when moving up or down. Also, clicking the scroll wheel requires Herculean strength which makes this the Achilles heel. The Ugly(Overall): In the end you have a nice looking, though extremely impractical, unpolished mouse that will end up being used in the same capacity as a 2-button wireless mouse. Their previous Intellipoint has a nice layout of buttons that operate smoothly. This mouse does not! I'm not concerned with the price of the mouse as long as it is comfortable and works. Don't be fooled by other reviews. This one is not the one. The one hasn't been made yet.

Not solid built. Could be better for this price.
It is a good mouse and the installation is not hard. this mouse looks good and feels nice in hand. I use left hand mouse so there are not much choices for me. I will give it a better star if it is built with a better quality. The problem I have is: the left click of the mouse (which is the primary key since I use left hand) feels diffrent from the right click. The left button is hard to pressed down compared to the right button, and there is a squick of plastic rub against plastic when I click the button.I thought this may only happened to me since I did not see anybody else complained about it.But for a mouse at this price I really expect something build more solid and better quality.

Good and Bad
The Good.Excellent feel. That is, it fits my large hand perfectly. As well as any LogiTech mouse. The charger stand is much easier to use than my previous LogiTech as you just lay the mouse on top of the pad.The bad.I keep losing the Bluetooth connection whenever I wake up my Mac. I think Microsoft really designed this mouse to work with their silly USB-Bluetooth adapter. But, what is the point of using Bluetooth via a USB port?
