Fantastic Quality!
My wife bought a USED one but she was so amazed to see that it’s actually brand new! No rips, no wrinkles—no damage! nothing! Comparing it to her brand new Michael Faudet Dirty Pretty Things! She’s collecting it all first before she can read it one by one!

A lot more sex talk than I cared to read
I enjoyed a few passages. Some known and basic trues are more powerful in writing. Too much erotica for my taste.

Not the best effort
Out of all five works, this has to be Faudet's weakest. I'm being a bit generous with my rating since I didn't dislike it enough to stop reading. That out of the way, Faudet says in the introduction that the book is "[effing] haunted" and you would be seeing the ghosts of his first effort, Dirty Pretty Things, in the pages and I don't see it. It read a lot like the other four novels and at this point I'm waiting for Faudet to deliver something beyond a middle aged college professor's fantasies. The short prose sections in these books are tedious to get through at this point. I still have nothing as bad as the one "and then my girlfriend and I went to a club and she TOTALLY allowed me to have a threesome with the maid AND THEN THE MAID CAME HOME WITH US! DUDE!" from the fourth book. The poetry is weaker here as well, with some political pieces that ultimately feel tacked on, especially in a book that has SO so many poems about sex. And the social justice poems are usually one liners. I remember reading one and feeling like, "this is a strange thing to have in this book."I'm looking forward to more of Faudet's works only to see if there's a progression beyond, "and then we baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanged!"

Stained Cover
Michael Faudet is an excellent author, but the copy I received had a very off white colour, almost blueish-greyish. I’m really disappointed because my copies are all stained 🥺
