The adhesive did not last.
I was hoping to use these with some insoles I like. You know, just a little more support. The adhesive did not last more than a few days and they were not thick enough FOR MY NEEDS. I don't want to discourage you from trying these because they are good quality, they just didn't work for me. If you are a big boy like me, 6'3" 335 lbs. you have a hard time finding things that work for you. Take into consideration what you NEED, what you want, and what you can live with when you look at these. They are well made, but made for someone much smaller than me.

Best I found
My foot does best with metatarsal support. I know this after years of trying different things. However, many shoes do not fit my custom insoles. Even hiking boots fit differently with custom soles in them. Instead, I just stick these onto the original inserts. They have allowed me amazing improvement in comfort. Without metatarsal support, I actually damaged the nerves between my toes once after a long hike. These allow me to hike again. They are a bit hard to get them into the right position in hiking boots. I often try several times with only part of the sticky side uncovered until it feels just right. Even then, after a hike or two, I have to reposition, which means using another pad as the sticky is gone from the first.4 starts are for durability. It is not bad! They stayed in place for ten day backpacking trips before. Some, however, are frayed on the edges when I get them.I just got a new pair of hiking boots, and I ordered 3 pair of these, as I need them so much I keep an extra when I hike in my emergency kit.

Allowed me to be able to run again
I discovered I had predislocation syndrome and tried other metatarsal pads but they always seemed too big and bulky. I quit running for 3 months and gained 20 pounds (I love to eat that was why I was running so much.) But then I tried these. At first I thought they wouldn't work because they seemed so small but they're perfect and I've purchased another pair. This allowed me to be able to run again. I'm so excited I found them.

In My Cycle shoes.
Been having pain in the location of the pedal clip, moved platform locations with no help. Bought these on a give it a try bases. Been using these and they have major helped in my cycling, not so much in my other shoes. They have made a major impact on reducing pain while riding just complete a 65 mile ride and could not believe it no issue with the ball of my feet! They are permanent in my riding shoes. Heads up on location.. a little movement can make a difference so be sure when you peal the backing of the permanent location.

Functional and comfortable
I've had a number of serious sports injuries to my left foot and have struggled for two years with chronic problems in that foot, including Morton's Neuroma and high arch that's fallen. I tried the Pro-Tec metatarsal pad in my running shoes and where other pads were noticeable and even uncomfortable, the Pro-Tec did its job without being annoying at all. No more numbness and a comfortably supported arch, and it stayed stuck in place through months of running so far. I like them so much I'm buying more for all my shoes. It would be great if I could buy them only for the foot needed instead of always having to buy them in pairs!

Fantastic
I have had bilateral nueroma for going on 6 years. I had the surgery to remove the nueroma in 2010, but unfortunately it grew right back. I bought these in hopes that I could run again, as I had been training for a marathon and the pain associated with the nueroma was really causing me trouble. I researched these, bought them, received them nearly the next day, and immediately put them in my shoes. They are fantastic! I have little to no nueroma pain whilst running, and I am happy to report that I completed my first full marathon!

Not the fix for me.
These pads did not work for my feet. I have a Morton's Neuroma and was looking for a pad to take some of the pressure off and hopefully relieve some pain. They only caused more pain. They are very thick and felt more like I was stepping on something in my shoe. Perhaps they work for others, but not this gal.

They work until they come apart.
They work until they come apart. They are made of fabric which does not allow the foot to slide easily into the shoe. In turn, the sock rubs on the pad until it comes apart after only a couple uses. This pad is made of three layers that are glued together. The top layer comes loose and then you have nothing. I ordered Pedag T-form instead. They hold up much better and have a slick surface which does not rub against the sock and work its way apart!

I have Morton's Neuroma and these pads helped me extend my range before feeling symptoms / pain. Not a replacement for a trip to a podiatrist and custom inserts but they help a lot.I would recommend initially placing them temporarily using some tape and not peeling back the sticky surface until you have measured and found the correct positioning. See how they feel and adjust. Once you peel back the sticky surface there is no going back. The cloth covering on these comes off easily after a few long runs so I would recommend after sticking these onto your shoe inserts to overlay them with some masking tape to prevent wear and tear.

Not sure I'd buy again
Although these pads do lift the ball of my foot and reduce the pain, they keep moving about as I walk; the adhesive doesn't really hold. I decided to give these a try as a more permanent way of lifting the metatarsal arch. I had previously just bought sheets of orthopedic felt and cut pieces to size. I think I'll return to my previous method as at least the felt stayed where I needed it and only needed replacing when it went flat. These I have to replace in position on a daily / twice daily basis.

Need size guide
first time I bought them, asked if I wanted small, medium or large, without any term of reference as to what these sizes meant. went for medium, should have gone fr large and I'm a size 6 shoe. Will now try a different product rather than try a larger size in this make.

Just too small
Pity everyone raved about how good these are for Mortons Neuroma sufferers but these are far too small and do not support the forefoot at all.

Effective product
The product is as effective as anything else I have tried in relieving pain in my second metatarsal when placed in trainers, infact I have just ordered a 2nd pair of pads for my boots. Delivery was a little slow which is the only bad point.

Excellent
I have these to supplement my insoles supplied by Podiatrist, but these can be used in feminine shoes and I can position them for comfort
