This was an exact fit for the old part. With the right tools it only took 15 minutes to replace and was able to roll the awning back up good as new. Used a #2 Square/Phillips deck screw bit and a #3 Phillips screwdriver. Probably better with 2 people but I managed to do it myself by rolling it all the way out and bungie it to a step ladder to to be my third hand.

This part was just what we needed to get our awning working again.

it fit but won't tighten

Two person installation -- however, we had zero experience fixing an RV awning and were sure that we would have to hire the repair out. We decided to give the project a try and were done in less than an hour. It works better than new! We're very pleased.

I received my replacement part. The box had no paperwork, no hardware and had a hand written sticker on it of no meaning or valueI installed it today, after a purchase from Lowe’s for hardware, o ly to find the gears are blocked or otherwise damaged. I can not roll up (or down) the awning.Now I am supposed to spend another two hours removing it, sending it back and waiting for another damaged one while my awning hangs dangerously blocking my doors.I’m a full timer. I am pissed

I hired and paid a mobile RV Repair Company to change the broken part with the replacement I ordered from Amazon. When I needed to use my awing, I was so excited because I did not have enough money to replace the broken part for 7 months and now I can use my awning again.The awning rolled out fine, so I thought everything was working correctly. When I went to roll the awning back in, the hook part of my new part snapped off on the first turn. I was so disappointed after waiting 7 months to buy my new part.I returned the hook part of the new part to Kohl's and received a credit to my Amazon account. Now I have to pay more money for the same part if I want to try this route again.Very disappointed and sad in Tucson with a broken awning.

Exactly what I was looking for! Easy installation and works great

New crank installed but wouldn’t roll up my awning. I believe it to be stripped. Sent back and currently waiting for refund. Undecided whether or not to order a new one!
