Would this work upside down from a Panoramic roof to hold a tablet?

Hello, You can turn the tablet however you want. It has a ball type connection with a tension adjustment that will allow any angle or orientation. Best Regards

Can this be used in the shower?

It is extremely strong but it depends from the steam. If you have a lot of steam in the bathroom very often, I believe you should use screws. Generally it has the best suction cup I have ever use.
