Set up was a breeze. The hardware is solid and the finish looks amazing! Easily paired this with my ring security network and Alexa. Now I can ask Alexa to lock/unlock the door (code needed).I like the fact that it comes with a sleek passage lever. Similar Yale locks cost just as much, but didn’t offer this feature.I was concerned about going keyless, but Yale thought of everything here. In case the battery goes dead before you have a chance to replace them, you can use a 9v battery (POC located just underneath the keypad) to power the door and input your code.I’ve only had it a few days, but I’m pretty positive this was a great addition to my smart home line up!

If you’re used to real buttons on a keyless lock this will be a challenge to use. The keys don’t light up brightly in sunlight which makes it very hard to read. The touchpad sensitivity is also poor - I find myself making mistakes frequently and waiting to try again. Sometimes the lock “freaks out” and seems like it’s opening and closing over and over.Overall, wouldn’t buy again and would opt for something more efficient. Takes me twice as long to open the lock vs. my keypad look from Schlage.

The keyless deadbolt is pretty nice. Easy install and quick setup. The Kincaid handle lever that came with the kit is bent and pretty beat up. It also came with two different sized assembly bolts so it is currently being held onto the door by a single bolt. Yale won’t answer the phone to get me any support and that’s if I’m even trying the right number. Their phone directory is a little confusing and unclear. I like the deadbolt, but I will definitely be ordering from a different manufacturer from now on.
