Silverline Heavy Duty Scraper 100mm Blade (CB35), Blue

I ended up buying a second one as I was so impressed with the first. I did put them to good use on all walls and ceilings throughout my house and found them very effective. I bought the second as the blade needed replacing only to find a pack of spares in the end of the handle when the end rubber fell off! make sure you keep it square to the wall or ceiling otherwise you can quite easily take chunks out of your plaster on the walls or ceilings. I also found it worked better with the screw head (that fastens the blade in place) face down closest to the wall or ceiling when using it. It didn't seem to work very well with the screw head facing up. The rubber handle started to work loose on the first but I had also gaffer taped it to a long handle for use on part of a ceiling I had trouble accessing. All my ceilings were papered too so I cannot really fault it for that.I have noticed another larger one for sale on here with a bit of a handle on the side. I may also try one of those next time if they are as good as well as one of these. I also started using a long handled floor scraper (6ft) for paper removal on some of the ceilings and walls along with one of these..found it easier if somebody else used the steamer ahead of where you where scraping rather than trying to juggle between tasks yourself. We also managed to tape the steamer head onto a pole for this which worked very well!

Bought as my old one had given up the ghost, perfect replacement for a multitude of jobs.

It's a great product that does the job. I bought it in January 2013 for a house renovation.It does the job but seems a bit flimsy. The blade started sliding in and out at will after a few days. I also once dropped it accidentally (about 2 to 3 feet of height) and the blade cracked.If well looked after, it's a great product. I would recommend it.If you buy it, please keep it safe when not in use. Falling unto someone's foot could do a lot of damage let alone someone getting tempted to (or in anger) use it as a weapon.

This tool came in really handy when decorating my living room. Great for getting wallpaper off - especially bits you miss with the steamer. Also good for getting paint off glass, wood etc. Order some extra blades; I've used it intensely for a few days and the blade has slightly rounded at the corners when I've been scraping paint off the walls so eventually I'll want to replace the blade but the blade does last pretty well.As others have warned this is SHARP - like a Stanley knife and I did manage to cut myself on my forearm so caution is recommended but equally this is a welcome addition to my tool box.

Ideal for scraping

Blade, blunt, i actually thought it was put into the scraper upside down it was that blunt, tried to unscrew it to have a look while thinking " i can replace the blade with a new one if i have to" Middle screw- no problem, other two- IMPOSSIBLE, would not budge, i tried that hard, the screw heads are now wrecked, so this piece of S-crap metal is just that, useless scrap metal. I have two other scrapers of the same type, my daughter borrowed my "good" one to do some DIY, the other one will not unscrew either, but it has been used a lot, and the blade is still sharper than the blade in this scraper, my advice, pay a few quid more and get one that actually works.

the blade is not tightly pressed and the material falls into the gap between the blade and the body. The blade must be turned around, it is installed with the blunt side in the box. Easy to hold in the hand, light weight, but the empty handle already has play and will not last long.

Was a little disapointed it did not not have a spare blade

Nous l'avons utilisé principalement pour poncer les portes de l'appartement en bois massif et nous l'avons trouvé très pratique, notamment pour les endroits plus petits et les courbes du bois des portes, ainsi que les moulures.+j'ai apprécié la facilité d'utilisation du produit, même pour des personnes qui ne sont pas bricoleurs professionnels. Je trouve que le prix est correct-pas de points négatifs à signaler
