Does what it says on the box.
Good for data transfer, as well as power transfer for battery charging. USB-A male on one side, USB-A female port on the other side. Gives you a couple extra feet of reach for your USB devices when you need to plug them in.

Hope this helps
First off, I usually don't write reviews of products I buy, mainly because I just don't feel like it or I think it really isn't worth my time due to the fact that there are plenty of better reviews. However, I did feel like putting my personal thoughts about this product on here so that it may help someone who is maybe iffy on buying it. This is just my personal opinion based upon how it has worked for me. This is also after buying my second one. This product has exceeded my expectations. I didn't think that a $6 USB extension would work nearly as good as it has. I ordered my first one almost a year ago. I used it mainly to charge my various tech around the house, such as my phone, PS4 controllers, etc. I was using every day, so you can expect the amount of abuse it endured. It was stepped on countless times, thrown around, coiled up, and a whole lot more. To me, it is a great investment because you don't really know how much you're going to use it until you actually buy it and use it. Like I said before, I used it every day and sometimes much more than just once a day.Sadly, I believe that it shorted out and I was no longer able to charge anything with it. Now that I have to use my standard charging equipment, I realize the value of this cord. I believe that $6 for a cord that you use everyday is well worth the price. I would have been satisfied if it had only lasted 3 months. Even if you don't think you'll use it often, it's still a useful piece of tech that can come in handy from time to time. I just hope that maybe this influences a person on the fence about buying it.

Quality cables and the perfect solution to never ripping your car stereo out of your dash again!
This review is for the AmazonBasics USB 3.0 Extension Cable - A-Male to A-Female - 3.3 Feet (1 Meter). There is nothing basic about these USB extension cables I received from Amazon. You can till they're built with a thicker gauge wire than most cables, as well as thicker insulation, so I'm expecting them to last the long haul without the common fraying you get from cheaper cables. If I happen to be wrong, I will definitely update my review.I purchased these cables for use with my Pioneer Avic 8100 NEX car stereo as I was tired of ripping the stereo out of the dashboard every time I needed to change the USB cable type I wanted to plug into the back. Now, I just have two of these extension cables plugged into the back of my stereo with the opposite ends hanging out of my center console. This way I can plug whatever type of USB Cable (Mini USB, Micro USB, USB-C, Lightning, etc...) into my stereo's USB ports with ease.I was concerned if the cables would work with my car stereo as the stereo's included USB extension cable wouldn't work with certain types of connections (Apple CarPlay, Avicsync, etc...) but to my delightful surprise, these extension cables work absolutely fine! The only negative thing I could say about the cables is that they have a puffy AmazonBasics sticker on them which interferes with plugging two of these extension cables in at the same time on my stereo due to the proximity of the USB ports, however I did manage to make it happen.I absolutely recommend these cables.

Great for positioning devices in places you normally couldn't due to short cord length
I have a mini office work-space area in my apartment which is where I put my desktop. Now, because it's a desktop and the fact that it never leaves my apartment, much less the office area, I've opted out of having wireless capabilities as I didn't see any benefit in having it. This created a problem because I also have a printer hooked up in this office space. My printer has the ability to do wireless printing, but my desktop does not have WiFi, so that was not an option. The only other option was to hard-wire the two devices directly using the USB cable that came with the printer. Well, the distance between my desktop and the printer was too large for the USB cable to reach. So, I went out and got this AmazonBasics 6.5ft USB extension cable, and that did the trick.I've been using the extension cable for about a month now and the printer still works like a charm. I haven't noticed any lag or delays with its processing either. Even though my desktop has plenty of USB 3.0 ports, I think my printer's USB port is 2.0, so I might not be getting the full benefit out of this cable. It's all backwards compatible anyways so it's fine. You can't see it from the images alone but, the extension cord runs through that hole in the desk, and underneath there is my PC which it hooks into. Wouldn't have been able to achieve this setup without that extension cable.I've only ever used this cable for my printer, so I'm not sure how it fairs with other usages such as device charging or read/write speeds on external drives. Also, the cable is really thick which is a good thing in my opinion. Feels very sturdy to the touch and makes me feel confident it won't become bent or damaged anytime too soon.

Great item
Just what I needed to hook things up for my flash drives. I can leave this plugged in without having to take it in & out and wear on the flash drive insert. Just as described.
