I purchased the Mini Cube wanting to use it for both photography and a bike light as illustrated in the ad. Perfect choice as I take my camera and an LED light on bike rides! App is easy to download and connect to the cube via Bluetooth. App settings were simple, precise and fun such as changing light temperatures using a slider on the screen. Brightness is where I think Mini Cube needs an upgrade. For photos expect to use it as mainly as a versatile fill light, (a use for which it is excellent), rather than primary. The ultrabright 200% output is the best option for many shots and I'm talking about close ups and short distances. The reason it isn't bright enough is that the beam spreads 180 degrees in all directions as there's no reflector to focus it. That's what's needed. On the bike it works ok but you'll need to buy some type of handlebar tripod mount and expect to blind everybody you meet. Once again, a reflector could focus it where you need it. As there's a filter slot, maybe someone could come up with an attachment that would solve the problem? Second request; any other color other than Ford Model T black? It's easy to lose this cute little black square that blends in with everything. If I can figure out where it is, I'll still be happy with it, but I'm hoping someone will create a handy reflector.

Even though these are really small (1.5in front by 1.75in width) these are bright and very handy to have.I'm a videographer and have used these to help with lighting interviews (they act as fills not key lights). Being compact, light and easy to setup makes them great to throw in your kit bag and not feel like they're a burden. And while these are not the brightest lights, and won't replace your big boy lights, they offer unique uses because of how small they are.In the App you can do these main things:- Change brightness- Change warmth- Morse Code - never going to use this- (Wish it Had) - I want strobing/pulsing modesI'd say these are best for the following- As a small fill light- Product photography/videos- Creative lighting on your subject- Run and gun style shootingBeing waterproof and small allows me to take and use these for outdoor shoots. I've dropped them a few times and they've held up well. I had some pairing issues with one unit but eventually got that sorted. They now pair quickly and stay connected without issue. The manual mode selections using the one button on the light itself (not using the app) is a little confusing, however. The documentation included doesn't tell you want modes you can click through, so you kind of have to just keep clicking and figure it out. I always use the app for the most part as it's most convenient.Other Notes/Wishes:- Charges fast using its magnetic wire connection - Helps prevent accidental wire tugs that would normally bring your lights down- Waterproof and very durable- (Wish) - I think it would add to its value if other color gels/diffusers were included instead of just white.

wow, if you need a strong video light, this is the one to get. very professionally packed and the workmanship is top-notch quality. Come with a plate with glue to attach the light for different applications. To attach the camera to a DSLR or Mirrorless to your hot flash shoe, you will need to buy an adapter that costs under $2USD.If you need a reliable light, strongly recommend this product.different settings can be controlled by clicking the power button on the back of the light in different ways, but for more accurate (and remote) control of the light color and brightness it can be done via a smartphone app which connects the light to the phone via a wireless Bluetooth connection (the Cube Light has built- in Bluetooth!). With the phone app, you can power the light on/off remotely, as well as fully control its brightness and colorThe light also comes with a small diffuser attachment which can be used to soften it's output if needed.I have not tried the light underwater, but it claims to be fully waterproof to a depth of 35 Feet! This is a great little light, easy to use and with good battery life. The problem I have is that it must be charged pretty close to when you use it. If it has been sitting 24 hours before I use it, the battery life drops to near zero. In other words, it self-discharges. I don't know if this is true for all of these or if I got a lemon, but it's something to keep in mind.

I really really wanted to love this. Honestly, it looks cool and feels very solid. Unfortunately the battery life is not good at all.I've owned it about three weeks. I'm still on the fence on whether or not I should return it or not. I have a few more days to decide.Pros are that the light is easy to turn on and has three different light strengths which is great because the light can be very bright. The diffusers are great as well. I haven't tested how waterproof it is,There is really one BIG con and a minor one. The big CON is that the battery life is not good at all. Maybe 15-20 minutes at most. Charging takes quite a while. The minor con is that it doesn't really securely screw onto a tripod mount. There is a little play and thus a little wobble.I just don't know if this is worth it.
