Just Recieved, will update after cruise handling *UPDATED*
I must have spent hours looking for luggage sets. I'm not made of money, but I'm also just paranoid enough to not want to risk a less expensive brand that reviews were either broken wheels or zippers.I get hard luggage will get banged up, so wanted to go darker color wise. My husband didn't care about the color, and the white, orange and purple 3 sets were half the price of the other colors. White is too light for us. Orange will (imo) look dirty quick. Dark purple won't look super dirty fast and hopefully will hide scuff marks better. So he gets manly purple. The protective plastic film is still on in the photos, but if you look around the logo you can see the true shine. We may leave the film on for the cruise, sure it'll look goofy but will provide a tiny bit more protection than if it was gone? Side note, if you check out lots of the negative reviews, they tend to refer to scratched up and peeling 'finish', thus is likely the protective film.I'll update again after the cruise for a true story of how well it works!Zippers feep sturdy. Zipper on the liner is backwards, which I think is intentional as I've seen this on various luggage sets in store. It opens just fine though. Handles feel good, but I'm honestly nervous on how well they'll handle weight.Luggage came with 1 of the luggage locks numbers off, it said 001 instead of 000 like the others. Common sense made me change it to 000 and it opened just fine, so make sure to try the default of 000 if yours is the same.Package was only taped once, all packing material seemed solid and not redone, so I doubt this is a return.*UPDATE*Luggage handled the cruise handling just fine. We checked the 2 larger bags and carry on the small. We walked off with all 3,including walking across a busy street to our parking garage. The luggage has very slight scrapes, nothing noticeable unless you're looking close and at an angle. I did remove the plastic before the trip too. Wheels worked well. Handles did fine. I had the medium and large loaded to just under 50lbs each. Only issue is, I was going to register the luggage and it says to use a QR paper that came with the luggage or find it in the luggage. There was no QR code anywhere and I do have a tag in each luggage but can not figure out what numbers to use. I emailed the company so will k ow soon hopefully. Luggage wise, I'm not regretting it as our first luggage purchase at all. They're so pretty and feel sturdy, I cannot wait to find another reason to travel with them again! All 3 fit in the trunk of our 2013 Hyundai Elantra BTW. Pro tip, open the luggage to air out a bit, then toss a dryer sheet in each side (behind the zipper). My husband was wondering what smelled so good when he helped me pack the luggage, and when we opened it upon return it smelled very nice.

Bad reviews are WRONG! This is a great suitcase!
I needed a new lightweight suitcase on wheels for an international trip. I did A LOT of research and was surprised the the reviews on Amazon for Samsonite suitcases were so negative; multiple other sites had good reviews, so I decided I should write a positive one.I bought the medium sized piece for a winter trip to Germany. I packed a a lot heavy, thick clothing including boots and never had to use the expandable feature. The separate zipped sides kept everything in place and the netting with two pockets was very helpful. It rolled easily over concrete, and fairly easily over gravel and cobblestone streets. It survived airplanes, baggage handling in the States and Germany, trains, busses and going up and down over 20 sets of stairs with no problems. It did not dent or scratch like so many others complained about. (Makes me wonder what airlines they fly and/or what they do with their luggage, like sit on the sides of it?!) The sticky residue from airline luggage tracking stickers and the rubber smudges from the luggage conveyor belts all came off in less than 30 seconds with GooGone and a paper towel. The handle does seem a little wobbly at times, but that is minor. I love the adjustable height feature of the handle. and the TWO fixed handles on the top and side, especially since I am 66 years old and only 5'3". I was able to lift, load and maneuver my suitcase myself throughout my trip.I bought my son a different set of Samsonite luggage 14 months ago that has made over 30 trips, including two international one, and both pieces still look brand new. He has had NO problems with either piece.I am very pleased with luggage and am looking forward to taking it on a two week trip to England and Scotland in June.
