Possible misinformation
I had to stop reading this book because it looks to me that an oak leaf is labeled as a maple leaf. How can I continue reading after that? I’m going to send this book back

Previous errors corrected
New version has previous errors like the mislabeled tree leaves corrected. Really a gorgeous book and my kids cannot wait to read it tomorrow as part of our homeschool curriculum.

Awesome book for kids of all ages, beautiful illustrations too!
This book has the most vibrant, gorgeous illustrations. Some pages have more information and others are more simple so it’s perfect for all ages! I’m going to use it along with a sensory table for spring/ summer with “dirt,” seeds, birds, bugs and even some faux small trees. :)

The pages of this book are beautiful.
This was such a delightful nonfiction read. The pages of this book are beautiful; a mixture of real images, vibrant illustrations, and patchwork layering made each page feel like a nature scavenger hunt.I was also impressed with the plethora of information the book presents about trees, from the different types, to where and how they grow, and how trees fit into the inner workings of the earth. There's so much information here. I could easily see this being an excellent supplement to a natural science or botany class for young children (I think trees are covered in those subjects). This could also be great for an Arbor Day or Earth Day lesson, a seasons of the year lesson, and so much more.In any case, I actually learned a few things from reading this book and enjoyed searching through the pages to see what all was there.Highly recommended.

Beautiful Story - some binding issues
A beautiful story with spectacular imagery.(Will likely buy another one for a child I love.)The paper on the spine of this book cracked down the seam on one side after the first time we looked at it.(Maybe I am picky about this because I make handmade books & I have major expectations.)

Solid, detailed book about trees for kids
The illustrations are vibrant and dynamic, enhancing the text quite nicely. It's a good book about trees for kids, if a bit on the longer side. There are some great details that reflect more modern knowledge, if I remember botany correctly. It's nice that it talks about conservation a little throughout and addresses the topic clearly at the end. The tree maps are cool too! I can imagine kids getting excited to pick out which trees they've seen in their area vs. their family's or another country's that they want to visit. Definitely get this book in print though. It's okay as an ebook, but some pages have to be read sideways and the zoomed in reading feature (I cannot remember what it's called) doesn't align with the text. Seeing the maps and two-page spreads in person on a full-sized book or a big computer monitor would be much better.

Beautiful and informative
This is a visually stunning book and has a good deal of scientific information. My Kindergartener finds it interesting, though I just read bits and pieces to him at a time. My 4th grader enjoys reading it on her own--especially the way it is broken up into smaller excerpts. I like how each 2-page spread addresses a different topic (it makes it easy to have a short read-aloud for our homeschool with enough science to discuss, but not so much that we can't cover it within their allotted attention spans). It is perfect for my kids' age span: Not too much information for K, and just enough to cause my 4th grader to go investigate an idea further in other tree field guides or other books.*I wanted to note that my version has been edited since some previous reviews where oak leaves were mis-labeled as maple. Mine (ordered 9/22/20) correctly states "oak".

The best book ever!
OMG I love this book. It is great for all ages. I bought this book for my 2 nephews a 4 yr old and a 6 yr old. It's a big book so we read it in sections. We had so much fun putting it down and going outside to look and study trees. The pictures are beautiful and covers everything. What I loved the most is how it talks about how they communicate with each other. I loved this so much I bought 2 more for a 8 yr old and a 5 yr old and mailed them out. I would have paid twice as much for this book and would still think I got a good deal.

Highly recommend
I am a tree surgeon and wanted a gift for my neice for Christmas tree related. This is the best gift I think I have ever bought anyone. She carried it around everywhere, she was reading it everytime I walked into a room where she was. Awesome book really good at explaining the basic workings of all different types of trees.

Wonderful drawings detailed and up to date information
This book is for me as I have recently got involved in a tree planting scheme but also for my two and half year old granddaughter. One of the books she can look at when she visits me as she grows. Information about trees that was not known when I was a child. Lots of details in the drawings that will involve her, hold her interest and develop her love of trees.

Unusual but very effective book
Used as a basis for a Year 1 non-fiction report writing project, the illustrations and text were spot on. The only (very minor) gripe was the odd use of multiple fonts.

Amazing book! We take it out for walks with us and its so useful to explain to children how trees are in real life! Such a good purchase. My 4 year old loves it, even though gets easily distracted, but I turn it into a game more. Very please it will stay with us for years
