This particular controller works pretty well with the switch. It did take some time to get it to recognized on the switch. How I had to do it was restart the switch about two times and then power on my controller and it was easier to detect however it could be different for each switch. The connectivity is pretty strong. I was able to control my switch from across the room about fifteen to seventeen feet without seeing any noticeable lag. There are no fancy led lights with this controller. There is only an led light to show which controller number the controller is. It is a blue led light in the center. The buttons do not feel too cheap however the colors seem to match more of an xbox one controller rather than an actual switch however all the buttons to correspond to a switch from the home to screenshot button. The joystick do feel a bit cheap. I would say when I was rotating the buttons joy stick around it definitely felt a bit stiff in that I felt I could break this joy stick easily overtime. It does work though and playing games like zelda, it works well enough. The grip is solid and the overall design looks okay. I would not say it is the coolest controller ever however I do think it works well. It is charged via a type c connector and be aware that if you want to connect this to your PC you will need to actually connect this directly into you computer. It does not work wirelessly with PC even with bluetooth. Once connected it does not work with all games right away and you actually need to set the keys up. Overall I think this is a cheaper alternative to getting a switch controller. It does work well with the switch however I do feel it is a bit cheap at the joystick and connecting it took longer than expected. The battery life is about five to seven hours before you need to plug it in for a recharge. It is a good alternative controller but I wish you could connect it to your PC wirelessly.

Got this mainly for Smash Bro's and is an awesome cost effective alternative if you don't want to pay $70 for a pro-controller (if you don't need amiibo functionality). Battery life is great, I play quite a bit and have to charge it /maybe/ once a week? Twice if I'm playing very heavily. Never has issues syncing to other systems when I go out to play Smash with friends on their systems or when coming back home to pair it with mine. It's also larger than the official Pro Controller, which is a plus for me since I'm used to playing on an XBOX One controller (very similar in size).Only negative aspect is there does seem to be more travel on the ABXY buttons than on the official Pro Controller, but I got used to it almost immediately and it hasn't caused me any issues.

This controller is very decent in its price. I can hold it comfortably, and it is lighter than my PS4 controller. The setup can be slightly confused when you use it for the first time, but it will not be hard to use once you set it up.However, there are a couple of problems while using it. Most of the 3rd party controller does not support waking up your switch, and the same case for this one too. Secondly, it does not have an easy way to do a system upgrade for the controller. I have to contact the seller to get the upgrade file, which I still did not get it from the seller yet. Lastly, the motor vibration is slightly strange on Super Mario Odyssey some times, but it reacts correctly in all the other games I have.I will not say it is a bad controller, but there are still noticeable differences compared with the pro controller.

Half the price of the Nintendo controller and I don't see any downfalls.Charging cable is included (USB C) but I am happy to report my controller was fully charged right out of the box.I plugged it into the switch and held the home button, then unplugged it, and it was synced wirelessly just like thatI'll report back if any issues arrise, but for the time being I'm VERY happy with this purchase.

So i’ve been looking for a good alternative controller for my switch. This came in over the weekend and was really surprised on the performance! It’s very easy to pair, very responsive, and works great! Gyro is working - i loved using it in mario kart. Vibration is also working. I especially like it when playing smash bro because of the grip. Not too big, not too heavy - the size and feel if the controller is just right. And the design is nice - i like the retro look of the controller. Overall, no complaints - it’s a great controller! Recommended 100%. Worth it!

This game controller's size is quite suitable for me. I can easily grasp the controller and touch all the buttons on it.The wireless connection is quite nice and I get wonderful gaming experience and good performance both on the computer or television. Besides the battery is quite endurable and i can play with it without charging all day long.

So far so good, no problems with this controller, we even dropped once and no cracks or issues. Battery is decent doesn’t last as long as the Joy cons but I don’t need charge it every day.

Kids use a lot and have no complaint, we bought the blue one too. Both work as they should, only thing is my kids mentioned they couldn’t pair both to play Rocket League. Not sure if due to controllers or the game or Nintendo switch.
