Worked great!
My 2006 CBR1000RR is the first chain driven bike I have owned. All others had belts or shafts. Seeing as this is a track bike I decided to go from the 530 OEM chain to a 520 chain. This required me to of course remove the old 530 stuff and install the new 520 stuff. When looking for a chain tool the choices were very confusing! There are so many different chain tools some even within the same brand! I decided to go with this one based on price and reviews. There are some chain tools out there that are cheaper and some much more expensive. Many had pretty bad reviews but most for this tool were positive. Never having had to break a chain or rivet one I really didn't know what to expect. With many inexpensive tools instruction range from less than helpful to down right harmful. Thankfully with the tool the instructions are clearly written and have nice clear photos. Having used the tool once I will likely never need them again but if I do the very nice plastic case includes a pouch stuck to the inside of the lid to store the instructions, a very nice touch. The tool comes with all of the parts pictured but it also comes in a handy carrying case to store everything when not in use. Another item the don't show is it comes with a second pin which is nice because I guess these can break. With the clear instructions and the nicely etched markings on the tool, using it couldn't be much easier. When I broke my 530 chain with the tool I didn't grind down the pins before pushing them out with the tool. I wanted to see how it would work without doing so. It worked great. That may not have been too big a deal as I pressed out the pins of the old rivet style master link. I'm guessing the pins on those are a bit softer than a regular pin. When I went to put the new 520 chain on though I had to remove a link. I pressed the pins out on the new 520 chain without grinding the them either. They pressed out very easily. Riveting the chain was easy enough but I over pressed the first pin. Now I get to do it again as soon as I get another master link. That's not the fault of the tool. As far as I can tell this tool is well made and should last a very long time. I do believe though it will only do 5 series chains, 520-525-520, which is fine for most modern sport bikes I believe. The thing to keep in mind is that I've never used any other chain tool but If you need a chain tool for a 5 series chain I highly recommend this one.

Very Tough, well made.
I didn't use the chain breaker part, since I was getting rid of an old chain, I simply used a dremel cut-off wheel to cut through the link plate. Much simpler that trying to punch out the pin. Every chain breaker I've looked at had some reviewer complaints that the pin was breaking. I think you have to grind off the head of the pin and be very careful about getting the tool square to the pin for this to work, these chains are used on motorcycles making well over 100HP, so they're going to be tough. Anyway, enough about that. The tool included a single page instruction sheet in full color that fit into a pocket in the case, showing how to line it up for the various uses. This is a good thing, as there are quite a few combinations. For my use; installing a DID chain and rivet master link, it worked perfectly. You do have to carefully read the instructions, as this has combinations that will work with a variety of chains and types of master links. Great to have that flexibility, as I think I'm going to have this tool a long time. Love it, highly recommend it.

Incredible Solid Tool
I am incredibly pleased with this tool. In the past I have tried cheaper alternatives and been sorely disappointed. The PBR is an ingenious and solid design for all the steps in replacing your motorcycle chain. Everything was thought of for the user - the silver block snaps into place with a small detent in the modes where you need two free hands. The block also has ball the right recesses to align everything very well. There built-in but removable handle so all you need is this tool and a 17 and 14mm wrench. Basically this tool is a hard-working peice of art. Even the instructions are well thought out and easy to understand. Comes in a tidy, small, and durable case. Do be careful, it is rough on any tool to press the pins out without grinding off the head. So get out your grinder, or a sawzall with an abrasive blade, and take off the top of the exposed rivet. Careful not to damage parts of the chain that you want to keep (like when adjusting length) The included handle could be a little longer for more torque, but that is easily fixed with a peice of pipe.

Best Chain Breaking Tool
I recently had to change my chain and sprockets on my 06 CBR600 F4i. I purchased the RK setup and a basic chain breaker. During my first attempt installation, it worked well but I did damage (bent) one of the pins from the breaker. I wasn’t worried because I was successful in riveting the chain. BUT I had to do another one of my bikes and Houston we have a problem. 525 chain and I bent/broke every pin that came with the kit. So now I was down a bike and had a dilemma, either I can grab another cheap breaker set from CycleGear or order the Motion Pro. I read the reviews and I always read the negative ones to see the complexity of the item. I decided to pull the trigger and make the purchase. I was so very fortunate that this breaker is worth every penny. Not only was it easy to use, the rivets that I made were professional looking. I wasn’t even worried about over riveting because the instructions were very easy to follow. Definitely a tool that will last many years.

Durable Tool, But Instructions Need Improvement
I recently purchased the Motion Pro Chain Breaker Tool and found it to be of good quality and very durable. However, the instructions were quite hard to understand. The tool itself is challenging to figure out, especially for first-time users. On my first attempt, I over-flared the master link rivets. I highly recommend watching YouTube videos for guidance instead of relying on the provided instructions. Once you get the hang of it, the tool works well.

Tried two other chain tools over the years, both failed in use, spares hard to come by. PBR chain tool is a robust, well made tool. Very easy to use with comprehensive instructions. Well worth the initial cost.
