Rev-A-Shelf 28in Stainless Steel Tip-Out Tray

New tray is shiny and so pretty. Would have given 5 stars if it had come with the little piece that prevents tray from falling open al the way. Previous tray had this but we neglected to save it.

Ok, so first thing first: if functionality is your primary (or only) concern, then this shelf is great. Not thick and sturdy, but will definitely get the job done. However, I assume that if you are considering this metal version rather than the standard plastic tray, you also care about aesthetics and attention to detail. This is where it falls considerably short. Mine arrived bent, as notet in pics 1 and 2. Will this affect it's functionality? No. Does it make me happy that I paid a hefty upcharge vs the plastic version? Again, no. Next came the realization that the "outside" of the tray was coated in protective plastic - which was if course complicated by the fact that said plastic was trapped by corners and bends, resulting in a situation where complete removal of the plastic film is impossible (as noted in pics 3 and 4). The product also has a stamp of their logo on the bottom, making the only long, flat surface also a pain to de-film (the film remaining in the indents of the stamp required dedication to remove!). Again, if you don't mind spending an hour or so with a box knife and a lot of patience, you can most likely end up with a very nice looking shiny new tray (assuming yours isn't bent...) But be prepared to spend some time with the film removal. I would probably just buy the cheapest plastic version if I had a mulligan.

Great replacement for plastic tray

We added this to the false drawer front under my cooktop and it comes in so handy. It doesn't hold a lot but it is big enough to hold my silicone pot holders. This ended up being the perfect location for them, I no longer have to search for them when I want to use them. I plan on adding more to my bathroom under the sinks.

I have a similar tray made of plastic under my kitchen sink which affords convenient storage for small items like sponges, rubber gloves and the like. This one will go under the sink in my master bathroom and will serve the same purpose. I like the fact that it is made of stainless steel, which should make it more durable. It is easy to install, needing only two mounting screws.

Nicely made and finished. I do wish the gauge of the stainless steel were just a bit thicker, though. Installs easily with included screws! Because the attachment holes are keyholes, the tray can be popped right out for cleaning when needed.

Turned wasted space in to something useful and cleared the grubby sponges off my sink. Couldn't ask for more! I should have read the description better as the hinges are not included so make sure you purchase those separately. It was a little time consuming to install but nothing unexpected.
