This is an alright kit for the money. The only thing i would change is to get rid of the twistiness of the razor by making it a little beefier.

Ordered it and then got one as a gift. Sadly had to return it.

For the price you aren't getting a 1890's barber quality set. But this is a good set for the price if you want to try this style and see if you like it. Had mine a couple months now and I am satisfied.

Razor is definitely NOT shave ready. Still working on it.Post script: After having to purchase a 400-600 stone and a 1200 finish stone I finally got an edge on it. It doesn't hold the edge long though. I have since bought a Dovo Solingen razor and it is far far superior. You would be better buying a cheaper straight razor that takes disposable blade inserts to get started. Rest of the set is cheap plastic. You can do better at Walgreens.

Wasn’t a quality product came across as cheap and plasticky.

Everything came packaged in a nice box and makes a lovely gift! The blade is a nice sharp when first delivered and the belt seems to work nicely to sharpen it.
