This wax really does keep your cheese fresh at room temperature for months and months. It does change the taste of the cheese because the cheese is aging while it is being stored, but, in my opinion, it changes for the good. This has been a game changer for me. We have 2 homes and I am always looking for ways to have produce and perishables available at both places without worrying about expiration dates. Between cheese wax and canning, I have found that.

The food shortage that is currently getting started prompted me to increase my food storage. One of the things I did was stock up on cheese.The best way to store cheese is dipping it in wax then keeping it in a cool, dry place. I've had some cheese there for 6 months so far and they're in excellent shape. I have enough to last another 18 months if I couldn't get any and because what I have is waxed, it WILL last that long... and be better cheese at the end of that time than when I bought it. When you can turn cheap Walmart mild cheddar into something good, it's worth it.AND I can reuse the wax. All I have to do is wash the cheese oil off the wax scraps (soap and cold water) and toss them into the melting pot the next time I need to wax some cheese.Definitely worth the investment.

Super easy to use, and I was extremely pleased with how well it lightly coated the cheese give me a nice outer shell.

It was a fun project at first that turned into mold after 6 weeks. The cubes had 6 dips each in the wax to make sure no holes for air. I kept them in a cool dry place and the cheese was moldy, or rotting at my 6 week chech-up. The cheese is supposed to last up to 20 years. If you are a prepper you will be sorely disappointed.

This is my first time using this product and I'm very impressed. I'm using it to wax my home made ricotta salata cheese and this wax is great. It's easy to use and is completely odorless of course. If you're a cheese maker I highly recommend this wax for this application.

i had bought big block cheese and cut in 2 in squares and dipped wax, lasts for a long time. only thing that it is a bit pricey
