AudioLearn PCAT - A Complete Science Review of Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry Concepts Tested on the Pharmacy College Admission Test!

I had a pretty mediocre score the first time I took the PCAT. Then I heard these cassette tapes had great reviews so I tried it, and they were right! I scored in the 94th percentile the second time! The guy goes through everything in great detail. At first I was skeptical about just listening to something instead of having an actual book in my hand. But it's so thorough (and it helps to write as you go along) that no other PCAT review book can compare to this! It even helps really well with organic chemistry, which was the bane of my existence. The accent's a little funny, but it's nothing that will interfere. I came out of the test feeling really good and not second-guessing myself. This is the only PCAT review product that I recommend to anyone. I know it'll work just as well for you as it did for me.

I bought the AudioLearn:PCAT in order to prepare for the upcomming PCAT in March. The pack contains 3 cassette tapes which are divided into 3 parts: biology, general chemistry and organic chemistry. The price of the product is not [inexpensive] and I expected to learn a lot from it. However, what I got was far lower than my expectation. The tapes only contain very brief reviews of all the materials in those three courses and the voice of the narrator is quite dull. Moreover, the product did not emphasize a lot on general chemistry (it only has 1 tape side for general chemistry) while general chemistry is the main theme in the chemistry part in PCAT. In biology, the cell is very brieftly introduced and the anatomy and physiology of all the organelles in the cell are not fully explained....

This CD is absolutely fantastic for learning the biology and chemistry details for the PCAT. This is by no means comprehensive, however, and requires a book supplement to get the full knowledge. Audio information is shown to retain better than studying written word, so this product is extremely beneficial for learning the small details. Listen to it at the gym, while driving, mowing the lawn (or shoveling snow), and after a few runs through the information will be solidly in your head. I scored a 95 composite with bio and chem as my 2 highest, and would recommend these CDs to anybody. The only reason it does not receive 5 stars is that there is information that simply cannot be easily grasped via an audio format, hence the need for a kapplan or similar review book.

I purchased this to listen to in the car. It is a good review if you already have a good grasp on the concepts. It does help refresh some important vocabulary. However, I would not recommend as a primary or even secondary source. I only found it to be a a good review tool.I do recommend Kaplan PCAT review books.

LOVE THIS. SO helped with the pcat. I did great on the test. I listened to this every time i got in my car. I am in pharmacy school now, Ugggg it only gets worse!

Great to listen to in car. Looks like it will be very helpful and makes it easier to study while driving.

These CDs were very useful for me as I prepared to take the PCAT. I got in the 90s on the exam, and these helped contribute to that.
