Great oil for the price. Helps ALOT on cold starts
I am the type of guy who normally uses the top of the line oil like royal purple (40$-50$ for 5 Quarts). I recently started using this oil in my 04 Silverado with 210,000 miles. I've never had any engine issues whatsoever on my L59 5.3. I wanted to try this oil because first off, I was tired of spending well over $60 for 6 quarts of royal purple and a filter and I wanted to see if the "Magnatec" was just a gimmick or a thing these days (most products are with engine products). I have to say the oil definitely keeps the top end of the motor quiet with lifter noise on startup, especially in the winter which is what I wanted. Will continue to use this as the oil seems to hang around in the critical parts when the motor isn't running. With that being said, I have never had to tear down the motor and dont plan on it, so it is difficult to truly tell.Update as of 10/5/18: Getting ready to drain this out of my motor as it is time for an oil change. Dipstick and oil coloration still looks new even at 215,000 miles. This oil still helps on those cold starts where I used to get some lifter noise. Have not heard it since using this.

I've tried pretty much every oil....
Oil today is a lot different than it used to be. It really doesn't matter what manufacturer you go with. After building engines and tearing them apart for years. From racing cars at the local drag strip and just fixing up every day drivers I've learned that all that matters is keeping your oil regularly changed and using the right weighted oil for your driving behavior. Oil does not cause problems in an engine... poor maintenance does. Going too long between oil changes, running your engine under strenuous loads the oil weight can't provide enough protection against (aka high performance engines), ignoring car maintenance like replacing engine seals when they go bad, changing bad lifters, oil pumps, etc. and driving a car with mechanical issues and then blaming it on your oil when things go wrong is mostly what I've seen people do in my car repair lifetime.Castrol,Valvoline,Mobile 1, Quaker State... whatever you choose just make sure you get what's right for your application and intended purpose and change it 3K miles or 3 months and your engine will be just fine. This particular Synthetic GTX is 5W-30 it has a very fluent viscosity and will lubricate your engines components just fine. Your motor does not care at all what brand of oil is in it just so long as that oil is able to go through all the the little cracks, holes, and crevices in your engine and lubricate the components that need to be lubricated. Just make sure you keep that oil fresh and change it out when it's time. Most people decide to start buying expensive oil when their engine is already acting funny hoping that will fix the mechanical problem they're really having and then picking on the oil when the problem still persists. You'll never in your life hear a mechanic diagnosing a certain brand of oil as the cause for mechanical engine failure... but you will hear them diagnose a lack of maintenance as the cause for it.

Great oil great price.
I'm doing a filter every 4-5k and oil every 8 or every other filter and this oil still passes my experience testing. I look at the color and feel it between my fingers . I have worked on European vehicles for over 20 years and was looking for a good high mileage maintenance oil that I could go above the typical 5-7k range . I wanted to see if I could double the intervals and so far so good I switched from motul to this in my daily family cars (nothing beats motul imo in tourtured sports/performance cars)I am saving money and getting a longer interval with no losses that I can detect in my not so sciency testing . So much so that I would like project farm to test this oil. The price I pay is slightly above Amazon basics Wich ive read is a fantastic oil but this is working so I didn't want to gamble

Castrol Up!
This stuff is hard to beat. One of the few non paraffin based oils out there. Personal preference I guess. My brother is an established certified mechanic and he swears by it. I don't care what oil you use carbon is a byproduct of combustion and it will be in your oil. Filters aren't that good yet. That carbon is like super fine sandpaper and there is wear involved. I replace my oil at around 5000 miles regardless. I've done spoon tests where you heat the oil up until it degrades, that's kind of interesting. Castrol oil regardless how much is considered synthetic is damn good oil. Im not saying its better than some others but it will hold its own. Oh by the way I live on a lake and own a boat with a 115 four stroke. Now that motor has gone through hell and it still purs. Yes I run Castrol in it religiously.

Great price for 5 quarts of oil. Will def repeat buy.
I baby my car, so I change oil every 2-3k miles (full synthetic). If you get the subscription it's around $15 per 5 quarts. Pretty damn good deal. Might just buy 5 jugs and call it a day for a while. Also my car takes 6 quarts so $30 for 10 quarts and by 4 more jugs later on. I'm happy. I bought the UltraClean version too. No issues. Not the best brand or type I'm sure, but probably better than any Valvoline. I definitely would not try pushing this oil any more than 5k per change, but like I said I baby my cars. This is not Mobil or Royal Purple, nor Amsoil. (Those claim to last 10k miles) For someone who changes oil frequently, or less than 5k miles, I'm sure this stuff is more than fine. I'm glad I found this type of oil and price on Amazon.

Found my favorite brand!
I had a subscription to this type but it was cancelled. I have been using this particular type of Castrol for years and was bummed that it wasn't available for a while. The amount is perfect for my vehicle and full synthetic oil is all I use. I feel a difference after I changed the oil out. My motor does run smoother. Very convenient size that's easy to pour out.
