The back of my house faces south east and we get crushed by the Texas heat.I had a smaller shade before but I was very excited to find one this large so that it could cover a large part of my patio and also the pool. The shade helps keep the pool temp lower and keeps the algae lower.I have it set above 5 windows and a back door that is mostly glass. The shade keeps the heat at least 10 degrees lower where it covers, keeps my home cooler and helps protect everything from the Texas sun, rain and wind. The trim and back door took a beating from the sun and rain without the shade.Now my family can enjoy the pool and backyard better than without it. We can sit under the shade in the mornings and drink a cup of coffee and enjoy the cooler environment and diffused sun. Very happy with this. Love the blue color too.

Install is the challenge. Be prepared to install large posts with quickcrete. I used 3, 6"x6"x10' posts, 2' deep along with 3.5 to 4, 80lb bags of quickcrete per post. Mix the cement prior to pouring into hole. Let it dry around the posts for a min of 12hrs. You will also need a min of 3/16" steel cable, length will depend on how far apart you place the posts. I recommend setting posts 33 to 36 feet apart for a 28 foot section of shade, and a variety of D Rings and a cable tensioner, like what you would use to tighten barb wire fencing. The end results are nice when putting in the work.

After testing out the location of this sail I discovered that the longest side was convex, instead of being straight or concave. This means that no matter of tension will remove the droop from the material along that side. The other sides were slightly concave and were fine. The other two sails seem like they are in fine condition.The material is fine and other then this defect the rest of the manufacturing seems fine.Upon requesting a return I was notified that there would be a 15-20% restocking fee for their poor quality control. I am tentative to order a replacement from this manufacturer if there is another potential to receive a sail that is not made the the correct specifications.UPDATE: I am changing my review to 4 stars due to their customer service to rectify the manufacturing issue. They responded quickly to the direct message I sent and sent a replacement that arrived a week or so later. The replacement fixed the manufacturing defects. And with all of them sails up they seem to be holding up very nicely.

Got this as a gift for my dad for Father’s Day, it was not easy to install and we are still working on a permanent solution, but it’s a fantastic shade. We have it temporarily hung and it provides a great amount of shade. Looking forward to using this over his pool for years to come!

This provides much-needed shade over our pool! With temperatures easily above 100 degrees every day in August, the only way we could swim is with this amazing covering. We do not use sunscreen and still do not get burned. I highly recommend these fabulous shades!

I ordered beige but what I received looks darker than pictured. Wondering if I got sand beige instead. Quality seems fine so far.

The shade works great and was easy to install. Please remember that the shade will stretch and droop so it’s actually a little bigger then 28x28x28, plan accordingly.

Nice quality, bought two of them actually worked great for our green house also. The other is on top of our pergola for some extra shade.
