I recommend this book.
This story is very warm and inviting! Katie Ginger creates a setting in Greenley-On-Sea that is both modern and quaint. She treats the rich ensemble of town characters with gentle and loving humor, from the opera-singing parrot to the Greenley Players. When Charlotte Webster is informed in a letter from her late and beloved aunt that she needs a ‘shake up,’ she must overcome her insecurity, and resistance from the town, to save Greenley Theatre. As you turn the pages, you will root for her on every step of her journey. I recommend Little Theatre wholeheartedly.

A Delightful Read
This was a wonderful book to discover Katie Ginger and I already have her upcoming releases lined up ready to read immediately!I warmed up to Lottie within seconds of meeting her, the same with Sid as well. They were the perfect duo, whether that be a friendship or relationship, they just meshed so well and had a bond that everyone could easily be jealous of. Lottie is a woman who is determined to please those she loves, however she lacks in self-confidence and can be quite dependant on Sid to boost that up. This isn’t a fault though, as we all have our insecurities and Lottie just needed to be directed down the right path to explore them herself. Starting up the theatre was a big task for her to tackle and I was extremely proud of her for doing so, no matter the obstacles that attempted to get in her way. With every step that she took in this new direction, a new found confidence sparked within her and had the community, even me, shocked at where this bravery had come from all of a sudden.Although we never got the chance to meet Lottie’s nan, you can certainly pick up that they had a strong bond between them and it was very heart-warming to see Lottie want to save the theatre, because that was her nan’s wish, and she was willing to make that dream come true.Sid was a great partner-in-crime for Lottie. He has a big heart through and through, consistently thinking about others and treating them respectively. His relationship with Selena was not a pretty one and because of his motives to always please others, Sid didn’t see how much control he was allowing her to have over him. The subtle criticisms towards Lottie were incredibly annoying and I wish he had picked up on them sooner, but in the end he managed to stand up for himself and what a joyous moment that was!I thoroughly enjoyed the personalities filling the theatre – such a unique group of people bringing so much joy to the town. The bunch did start on a bit of a rocky path, but it was really fun to see them learn about one another and work together, putting all differences aside. So, what I’m telling you all is, this book is every sort of wonderful, with gorgeous characters, a stunning town and a friendship that turns in to a romance you’re not going to want to miss out on

A beautiful and stunning debut!
Does jumping up and down, cuddling my Kindle and grinning from ear to ear count as a review?! Uh where do I start? I fell in love with Sid and Lottie instantly. From the first chapter I loved their chemistry and friendship and knew I was in for a treat. Also, I adored Katie's writing from the get go. Katie writes with such warmth and humour and I could feel every word.Lottie I thought was the coolest. I loved that she was laid back and had a big heart. I loved that she wasn't all that into fashion and she liked to be comfortable. I loved that she was a photographer and worked for the paper and I loved that she could hold her own and was quite independent, though she loved having Sid around and he helped her step out of her comfort zone and put her, sometimes, niggling nerves at bay. Furthermore, I adored her relationship with her Nan. It made me smile that she wanted to save the Theatre to make her Nan's dream come true. Grandparents are truly magic, so this part I really connected to and felt proud of Lottie that she was giving her Nan's request a go and how she persevered when it got tough.Sid I thought was awesome. I liked that he loved superheros and Star Wars and that he was grateful and content with his life working for the paper and living in his hometown that he loved so much. He too had a big heart. He was incredibly sweet in how he treated others and always wanted to do right by people. Him putting up with Selena, though a little naive, warmed my heart because he always seemed to want to care about people and thought it was him that was in the wrong all the time. It made me smile when he finally stood up for himself because he still managed to be so lovely and cute.I very much enjoyed learning about the life behind the scenes of a Theatre. The cast of characters that make up The Greenley Players are a delightful, eclectic and unique bunch; it was so much fun being a part of them re-building the Theatre, putting on their first show, learning from their mistakes and how to put their differences aside and get along.I thoroughly enjoyed following Lottie and Sid's journey through their friendship to feeling more for each other. They were such a swoon worthy couple. 'The Little Theatre on the Seafront' was such a page turner, filled with characters that truly keep you invested. I liked Jeremy then didn't like Jeremy, but wanted to believe that he might possibly be a good guy, alas, you will have to read the book to find out what happens to Lottie's boyfriend. Is he good, bad, nice but just not meant to be? Selena, Sid's girlfriend, I was not a fan of and was rooting for Lottie the entire time, but I wanted to follow her journey and really see what was going on and what had her knickers in a twist.I'm extremely excited to see what Lottie does next with the Theatre and with Sid by her side and it just so happens that the sequel to this wonderful book 'Summer Season at the Seafront' is OUT TODAY!!! I'm ready to dive in! :)

A gorgeous fuzzy debut read about a seaside town coming together to save their theatre
When I found out Katie Ginger was a local author to me writing one of my favourite genres for pure escapism I had to grab myself a copy, this was her debut release and I finally found 5 mins on holiday to devour this beauty. This book is set in the fictional seaside setting of Greenley in Kent, which is a town trying to retain it's community spirit. Lottie is the main character who is dealing with conflicting emotions as this story starts to unfold. Lottie is a character who is easy to empathise with and I love some of the new character traits that start to emerge as she finds her feet in a quest set by her Grandmother. This is a gorgeous fuzzy read that demonstrates a wonderful friendship between Lottie and Sid, a fierce loyalty to Lottie's Grandmother and the passion and love of a town coming together.I really enjoyed this book and could visualise the rundown theatre they were fighting to save and the gorgeous seaside walks described throughout the book. A superb debut release that will make you smile and leave you with a tear in your eye.

4 stars ~ Enter stage left - it’s showtime!
The Little Theatre is the heartwarming debut from author, Katie Ginger. For me, this is the perfect read for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Just imagine it - jammies on (a must) and tucked up with your favourite blankie. Plus, copious amounts of tea and biccies #bliss So, that’s just what I did (any excuse, I hear you cry). How do you argue with a behest from beyond the grave? *shrugs* You don’t...Still trying to come to terms with her nan’s recent passing, Lottie Webster is left reeling from Elsie’s last request: save the local theatre and return it to its former glory at the heart of the community.Easier said than done, right? *shakes head* With her best friend, Sid, by her side, Lottie embarks on undertaking the daunting task. Goliath, we’re coming for ya! *cracks knuckles*It’s easy to deny your true feelings when you’ve been best friends’ forever, but with the arrival of potential partners for both Lottie and Sid, it makes denying them harder and harder.Maybe there is method in Lottie’s nan’s madness after all, eh?Low on angst, but high on feels, The Little Theatre has a host of colourful characters. Or, should I say, lovies? *snorts*Like any good dramatic production, you’ll boo and hiss at the baddies (especially sleekit Selena!). You’ll belly laugh - check out Sid and the Seagulls scene. And, of course, you’ll feel a bit mushy, and if you’re like me, you’ll shed an emotional tear of two (whaaa?).To me, the heart of the story is about belonging. Lottie finds more than she can ever have imagined within the walls of The Little Theatre.

Uplifting, cosy and romantic
I really enjoyed reading Lottie's story of love, courage and friendship. Having dabbled in am-dram myself in the past, I loved the idea of saving a community theatre and all the fond and funny characters that went with that. The seaside setting was just lovely and who doesn't love a story where friendship turns to love? If you enjoy an easygoing, romantic read then this is the book for you.
