When you are studying something as visual as palm reading, it always baffled me how most of the books either have very few pictures or line drawings of a palm. How could anyone ever understand the subtleties of the hand when you have no examples to look at? Well, The Art and Science of Hand Reading changes all that. Every single example has an associated photograph or drawing where appropriate. In addition to the clear photos, sensible explanations are provided for each and every characteristic described. The subject matter is covered thoroughly as well. After purchasing over a dozen manuscripts and books on palm reading I have to say if you had buy just one book on palm reading, this should be the book.

This book is so brilliant in explaining palmistry to all levels of readers. To me, a neophyte, it simplifies and demystifies the reading of palms and has helped me more than any book in this category. Beautifully illustrated and prose that jumps off the page into your heart and brain, I'm just excited to learn more. Bravo to the writer and artist Ellen Goldberg. Well done!

If you want to dive into the Palmistry arena beyond beginner books, this is the book to get!!!! It has everything you need to learn how to read, not just palms, but finger lengths, thumb sizes, nail shapes, fingerprints and everything else with the hand!!! I would consider this book the best advanced book on hand reading there is!! Andddd....you can even use this even if you are a beginner. It is easy to read, but it is packed with information which is good for the more advanced people. Hands down, (PUN INTENDED) the best book on the topic!! With 532 pages, you will have more than enough info to get you going down this path!P.s-- sorry about the lighting in my photos..I took pix with my tablet and it got in the way..it was the only light to take them with...but you still can see everything.

This is the most comprehensive palmistry guide you can get your hands on! Honored to have been a student of Ellen Goldberg, I can confidently say that this has the potential to be a life changing book for anyone who is open it's study. Be a diligent student and you can change the world around you one palm at a time.

I’ve read a lot of books about palm reading. This one is by far the most comprehensive and easy to understand. It makes for a really great reference book for ones who already practice the art of reading palms. The explanations of history and origin in this book help to understand the true meaning behind the information you’re absorbing and is a perfect gateway to understanding other metaphysical sciences and mythology. If you read this book about palm reading, you’ll already have a huge grasp on how to interpret tarot cards as well.Really awesome book.

Great guide to take you from a beginner to an expert hand-reader. Includes diagrams and is relatively easy to understand.My main criticism would be that the book is a bit long and can feel overwhelming to start It would be ideal if there were a few "quick-guide" summary chapters in the beginning of the book to give you a fast way to start reading hands prior to completing the whole, extensive book.

If you are a novice exploring your own hand or an experienced Palm reader - this book will enhance and enrich your experience of Palmistry. In this beautiful book, Ellen Goldberg has shared the fruit of a a lifetime of investigation into the mystical arts along with her incredible history of practical applied experience as a reader. It is easy to use as a quick reference into any aspect of palmistry, but priceless as a source of deep study when the reader is ready. Ellen is also a talented visual artist and she has brought her skills to bear on the visuals in the book - it is worth buying just to spend time looking at the photographs and illustrations. You are in for a treat!

I bought a few books, but this one is the best because of the expansive and clear explanations. Other books seem to gloss over areas to understand, but Ellen puts the entire spectrum (and usually examples from her career) into each area. The person with a minimum, medium and maximum of the area at hand. (no pun intended.)The book is presented logically for the beginner. Other books I looked at seemed to think I already knew terms and meanings. Other books present in a paragraph, what Ellen spends a long chapter on.

Good book but it arrived damaged

This is by far the most accurate book I have ever read on this subject. This book has sufficient pictorial representations and the language is very eloquent. The accuracy of information on the mounts has baffled me completely. I have used the information and experimented on my friends which led to amazing results. Its a very useful book.I am also fascinated by the works of Johnny Fincham, Cheiro and Prof Dayanand.

Very happy to own this book and have in my library. A complete study text that is very detailed. I would think that Goldbergs work should be the "go to book" on this subject for anyone seriously delving into hand reading.

520 pages of absolute-pure knowledge. This book is a treasure!!! Absolutely worth the money I paid for. I found this book through Ellen’s Goldberg you tube tarot videos- she was very knowledgable and extramely informative, therefore when I heard she co-created a book about Palmistry I immediately wanted to have one. Loving it!!!Adding more comments after 2 weeks of having that book- I just order second one as a back up. There is so much to learn from this book that I found myself highlighting and writing thoughts all over book. At least now when I have a back up book- I won’t feel as guilty.
