It fit perfectly on my Gaggia Classic Pro that I purchased new in 2021.

Backflushing cleans-out the screen, brew group, and 3-way valve of your espresso machine. Machines with a 3-way valve relieve water pressure from your coffee and into the drip tray underneath. By using the "blind filter basket" (a.k.a. back-flush insert), you are building-up this water pressure and pushing the water with the cleaner back-up through the screen, brew group, and valve. Specific details on how to back-flush are found on several coffee enthusiast and coffee supply web sites. Backflushing is intended for machines with 3-way valves only.
