Perfect
This was super easy to set up. Had a bit of trouble getting enough suction in order to get the flow going all the way around and back out the outflow tube but after unplugging and plugging it back in about 6 times, each time created more suction, it worked. Literally makes NO sound at all. I cleaned an old sponge filter in my new tank water to help with cycling and it cleared up a completely brown tank in less than an hour. Love this filter!!

I want to love it, but
The media could not be loaded. I will admit this wasn't the filter I wanted to start with, buy it was on sale and had good reviews. So I will say it is a nice compact size which is nice. But my flow has plummeted in 6 wks time. I clean this guy every week and I will say it is disgusting after only 7 days. It has gotten harder and harder to get it to prime after cleaning and no longer has a decent flow as you can see in this short video that was right after cleaning. I also wish I could figure out how the water flows through this thing so I could help to possibly improve the flow. They need to improve their ability to prime and need to indicate the correct direction to orient the top. All and all I would not recommend this filter and wish I could return it, but it's past the 30 day window.

Complete Disaster - Looked like a previous returned item.
The box was in rough shape when it got here and it made me think it had been returned before. Got everything hooked up and it was a complete disaster. Water everywhere, no thanks...will be returning as I’m now pretty sure someone else did before.

Excellent Filter
We highly recommend this filter!!! It's quiet, efficient and easy to set up and clean!!!! Not to mention semi-compact to fit right where we need it. I'll be buying another for my other tank soon!!

Filtering well for my 37 gallon tank
The media could not be loaded. So overall this is a pretty great filter system period the one thing I do have to say I'm sure it plays a roll in how short your hoses are from the actual top of the tank like it's displayed in the manual but mine is at the maximum distance from the top of the tank and I did manage to get all of the air almost out of the system but it did take about half an hour to 45 minutes to fully get the system running at Max Capacity. Which really isn't a big deal it just was time consuming up to that point. So one thing I thought it would be helpful for others possibly looking at getting one of these is to be able to see some actual pictures from the inside of one of these container filters. I know for myself I personally would have liked to be able to see a few more pictures of one of these. So you can see your filter mediums on the one side where the intake is and the middle where it actually sucks out your clean water and puts it back into the tank and on the other side is basically your bio area for your good bacteria to grow. Underneath the center filter is about an inch and a half maybe two inches tops to allow for your active carbon and or zeolite to be placed for cleaning your water and making it better for your fish. Now one thing I did come across that I had seen others talked about was the hose fittings and how they don't secure on with the little blue caps. And I've dealt with these kind of compression type fittings before but these are not designed correctly for this setup. If you look inside of the two that I have Sitting side-by-side I have one flipped over from the other side and there's a very slight difference from the two. But either way this doesn't allow it to work like it's meant to work so unfortunately after slipping these on I still had to attach hose clamps on the ends to prevent leaking. The output side is the one most prone to leaking. So it's important to make sure you do have some hose clamps for this side especially with this size filter setup and probably the larger one also. But other than this one minor issue overall it seems to be pretty decent. I did watch the actual filter box for about 2 hours just to make sure that it had no leaks and then checked again Within 4 hours after it had been continuously running. I also checked it again after another 8 hours and everything seems to be functioning and running smooth. So overall this isn't too bad of a product and it does seem to do a pretty good job at filtering out your fish tank. And that's like I said I do have the hoses stretched out to the max length recommended and that's just because of where I have the filter box stored. I really doubt anyone has a little table right up behind the fish tank to sit this on. So as far as other recommendations I would definitely look at getting an extra 10 foot of hosing if you're going to run this setup at its max length. Because the hosing they include is not long enough to do both sides. 10 foot is overkill but it gives you a little bit of playroom to get everything set up and then you can cut off your excess. Hopefully this helps anyone else looking at purchasing this 200 series or even the 300 series.

Don't Buy - Pain in the... - Packaging was in poor shape
Update:Replacement came in poor shape as well =(. I gave it two stars because I got it to work. I had to use a hand pump to pump water complete through the system so there was no air pockets in the hose. Yes, the system was complete filled. It is working now. The filter is quiet. But it is a big pain to upkeep.First One - DOA. This came to me in two boxes then the original. Pieces scattered everywhere. I also bought the water heater that goes inside it to find out you have to purchase an adapter. ??? That I can't find on Amazon. ???
