Not appropriate for canning - does not seal
We bought these 4oz jars for gifting jam made from home-grown fruits. >60% of these jars do not appropriately seal in a water bath canning process. There is no 'pop-up button' to quickly assess the seal, and because the lids do not seal in the canning process, they stick to the rings as you remove the rings to assess the seal. I would not recommend buying this brand unless you are looking to hold dried or non-food items. That said, they were packed very securely/safely, and alike all glass jars, they are easy to clean.

Perfect gift size jars.
The 4oz jars are perfect for canning this years supper hot pepper sauce made at home. Perfect for gifts. I will definitely buy these again.

Perfect size for favors
I like the size and design of these jars. We plan to fill them with homemade jam and use them as wedding favors.

Defective for canning.
Do not purchase for canning. Less than 50% properly sealed, so now I have freezer jam. Defective, not as advertised.
