Work great and saved our community over $500!
Our community pond had a worn out KASCO light system for our fountain. It was going to cost over $700 to replace with a new KASCO light system. Working with a neighbor, we pulled out the fountain and removed the broken lights. The saving grace was that the KASCO 110v-12v transformer was working perfectly so all we needed were replacement lights. I emailed Best Pro and described our scenario. They said they've had other customers use the same transformer without any trouble. We ordered two lights and they arrived within a few days. Water-tight connectors are necessary to join the new lights to the KASCO transformer (if you don't have electrical experience, hire a professional to complete this step for you). After testing and confirming the lights were working, I could tell the included LEDs would not be bright enough for our fountain. I replaced them with Sylvania 9W MR16 LED bulbs (good quality). MUCH brighter and whiter! Using the mounting parts from the old lights, we were easily able to connect these new lights to our KASCO fountain. The results are incredible. So much nicer than the original too, not to mention the power savings! I think these lights are well built and will last several years. Replacing the bulbs will also be a breeze (if we ever have to replace them).NOTE: If you want to save a few dollars, purchase their 'Standard' Pond Light kit and purchase the Sylvania LED lights separately.

Works great, waterproof, super BRIGHT, but ideally needs a stake for mounting underwater or in landscaping
I ordered this light to put in my waterfall pond, but actually after hooking it up, it would make a nice landscape light... the LED version is extremely bright -- brighter than the halogen par36 light wells that were right next to it. As of this writing there is a $10 difference between the LED and the halogen version (MR16) of this unit - you might want to buy the cheaper one and put your own LED MR16 in the fixture. The cord is heavy weight. I submerged the whole unit in a bucket of water and watched to see if it leaked... it did not. I will update this review if I run into performance issues once it's sitting at the bottom of my pond.NOTE that there is NO STAKE included... the flood bracket has a little hole in the bottom where a stake could connect but I could not find a stake on Amazon that would fit this fixture. Perhaps the seller will start selling stakes? It's a heavy-duty fixture and I'd like to use them in my yard but I can't without a stake.Hope this helps.

Choices
I have purchased multiple underwater 12v lights for my water feature. To date, this light fixture is the best one I've found. What I like about it is the ability to use standard low wattage LED bulbs. Four screws are what holds the frame down to access the bulb. Very easy to change. I opted to upgrade the bulb to 7watt LED because I wanted to see the bottom structure and fish at depth. Previous lights I've purchased had sealed beam LED. Patriot lights are high quality but in my experience do not last underwater more than 2 years. Time will tell with this fixture. I did use a quality underwater sealant around the the fitting where the wire enters the housing. Fixtures have only been underwater for one week. If they fail I will update this review. Cost wise they are competitive with the advantage of determining your own wattage.

Good Value
Good alternative to expensive pond lights. The bulb can be replaced so you can use this fixture for a long time.

Excellent ans easy to install!
I love these lights. I purchased 2 of them for my pond and was excited that I could connect them to my existing low voltage backyard system. I had to buy the connectors separately and while them so I could connect to the low voltage lines. It was simple to do. I am very happy with the size, brightness and overall construction of the lights. Highly recommend!

Failed after two months, was not under water
I had high hopes for this as a fixture to light up our pool waterfall at night. Unfortunately after only two months of operation, it is no longer working properly. The light is now SUPER dim and does not light as it is supposed to, so something has malfunctioned internally. The fixture was never under water, but only outside where it would get splashed and wet by weather. This product obviously is not reliable....
