T-34

Wow!!! Great Movie!!! Great screenplay, great directing, great character development, intense action and fantastic cinematography with the slow motion action scenes made this one of the best movies that I've seen in a very long time. The fact that the language wasn't in English was fine with the subtitles. Do yourself a favor and check it out. It may be a long time since I see another movie as good as this one. Absolutely A+!!

T 34 Director's Cut is worth watching, regardless of the subtitles and Russian narration. The story is easy to follow. Great war movie.

I had my reservations about this, but both my wife and I enjoyed it. War films that pass the Wife Test aren't that common.It's two long action sequences with a short interlude. It's almost entirely tank vs. tank battles, which are depicted quite clearly. There's lots of slow motion showing where critical shots go, and the camera work manages to convey exactly what all the maneuvering is about. We also get to see how impacts that don't actually penetrate a tank's hull still manage to injure and confuse the crew due to concussion. The battle sequences really convey what it's like to be a tank crew better than anything else I've seen.There a couple of implausible plot points. The biggest one being the setup for the second half of the movie. The Germans allow Russian POWs to operate a captured T-34 as a "training exercise," which doesn't remotely pass the smell test. The Germans think the Russians have no ammunition, but even a small child could have told them that a tank's a pretty dangerous object even without ammo. _Of course_ they escape with the tank.It didn't matter, though, because by the time the got to that point, I was having entirely too much fun.

Some foreign movies have their flaws. Need to read captions the whole time if you do not speak the language but is understandable! Not sure if this story has any historical roots but seems very believable/realistic. Nothing too over the top during battle scenes etc.

Turn the CC on and it's pretty good. Courage, war, triumph.

Ok, item arrived quickly even without Prime. Yes, this is the extended version or directors cut that has all the scenes that were cut out of other versions. The beginning battlefield scene, the nazi gas station scene are just a couple that come to mind. Yes those scenes are in this version. There are only italiano subtitles, no English language or subtitles wich is a bummer, but idc i like to hear them speaking russian and german. English subtitles would be 6 stars for sure. Love the movie.

I like the simplicity of the story, a group of POW looking for freedom and using their skills on maneuvering a tank to accomplish their goal. I like very much the simple love story (without the super sexy scenes of American movies). Very much like the shaking of hands at the end battle over the bridge... the German commander is human too as well as the Russian commander, have to acknowledge each other, great ending to the movie and their final arrival to the border meadow were the woman was waiting for her lover and friends.

This Russian made WWII tank movie is possibly THE single best tank movie ever! Better even than "Fury". There are some genuinely funny scenes in it, as well. The gas station scene and the bus stop scene make me laugh every time. Well worth the time and money if you like this genre, and if you don't mind subtitles. Very realistic battle scenes that depict what these guys had to go through as a tank crew.
